First we had the american crew voice, now we get the german crew voice, and they are great too, I can't wait for them to had the russian in the futur!
T-72M against various american vehicle/weapons, M1 Abrams, M113 APC, TOW launchers.

You can tell the commander is getting more stressed out when the Abrams start coming towards their tank, with the turret pointed at them, compared to before when they were flanking the Abrams at a greater distance. The detail on the voices is insane

I like how it traversed past the player's tank before snapping to it like "oh wait, that's a tank!" and the commander starts frantically giving orders immediately after.

3:19 Shoot the under side of the breach on the Abrams, you can shoot the turret ring and its usually a knockout shot if you hit it. From that distance its not that difficult of a shot, but practicing on the shooting range will help

the rreal problem is that that developers gave 3БМ15 for T-72. Its so shit round. The can add even 3БМ42. And it will penetrate even front body abrams's armor. Its impossible to play for germans now

@@user-ws1ud4op9i plus unlike the T64 and T80 the t72 never got a good FSC up intel you get to upgraded post cold war model's like the T72B3 TP-91 T-72M4CZ M-84D even stuff like the B and B1 while better still don't have stuff like auto-lead

That's the turret cheek. If you shoot centre mass 9/10 times 3BM15 will be crushed. Side turret is optimal

@@SovietBear4 Exactly. Those were the guys who got the legit stuff and not the downgraded export versions. If war had happened, most of the fighting would have occurred in Germany again. The NVA trained for this.

If you put attention to it and not just look at the big chevron in the middle, he is indeed firing at center of mass (200m chevron), it´s acounting for parallax between the barrel and the sight

As a German, I must say, some of those voice lines don't make sense to me. On the other hand, I am not really familiar with NVA military language either, so it might still be historically accurate. Can't wait for the Bundeswehr to make an appearance in GHPC. 🤓

3:19 A tipp allways shoot the side turret if it present it self like that you might knock out the gunner or gun breach and if its angled abit still shoot it you most likely will go through and hit the ammo in the back of the turret killing the tank thats the most reliable way i kill abrams with and dont try to war thunder turret ring shoot most of the time it gets caught up in the turret composite bounces downwards or upwards and shatters or hits the upper plate and goes up again into the turret composite maybe with better rounds like 3BM22 or 3BM32 but with this 3BM15 dont

It's actually a pretty reliable spot, even with at missiles from a bmp you can still hit it. Or I'm just spending way too much time playing lol

I think one aspect of voice acting in this setup that is missing is that fear and stress is likely to be expressed in the form of anger and repeated callouts like "come on, effing fire. Fire. FIRE." And putting your own crew through the wringer "What are you doing come on load load. Faster. Faster."

The front of an Abrams is pretty much invincible. You have to hit it from the side of the bustle or the rear for a guaranteed kill

Is the syntax any different? Surely PACT would use a slightly different communication style rather than just American translated into Russian/German.

East German and Soviet tanks use their country's respective fire commands, ex. 'ACHTUNG' instead of "on the way" or the Soviet commander saying the degree the enemy is at instead of traverse left/right

It's a command in three parts: 1) gunner to get the gunner's attention, 2) HEAT denotes the round type, 3) PC (Personnel Carrier) denotes the target.

@@lukematney7062 'PC' refers to the fuse on the shell, since you can put a time delay. The only odd thing to me is apparently they use 'PC' which I assume means 'Point Contact', while for our fuses we used 'PD' which means 'Point Detonation'. Basically they're saying to make the shell explode on contact.

@@shadow7988 I can pretty firmly say that it's a target designation. When other soft targets are called in game (like a truck), the command switches to Gunner, HEAT, Truck! The commander also calls, Gunner, Sabot, PC, which wouldn't make sense for it to have a charge designated.

Tbf, you do need to tell your gunner whether he missed or hit, and Pact fire commands are significantly different than what the West uses

@@lukematney7062 A nice propsition, thought I dont think a sufficient explaination. Gunner Heat PC is known for using the actual military commands used by tank crews. It would not suit them to have the german gunner just swear every time he misses.

I'm not very impressed at all with them. Firstly, it's too clean, you can't hear any dialect or anything. People in the east, depending on where they are from have a noticable dialect. It would have been a nice touch. Secondly, it's just the translated english command lines. Would have been cool to hear a different command structure. The voicework itself is not bad but its too clean imo.
