I'm using a Marvel Legends WWII Captain America maskless head for my Classified Lt. Falcon. Gear him up with my ValaVerse Crimson Arsenal, and suddenly, Falcon's a rockstar. I also used some of the VV Declassified gear kit for Gung Ho, and that made a world of difference. I then used the armored vest from Gung Ho, the head from my Marvel Legends War Machine, and some Crimson Armory weapons to make the "Heavy Artillery" Roadblock into a Classified scale Major Earl "Bulletproof" Morris. When I get the VV weapons kit with the minigun, then the Cobra Island Roadblock becomes Heavy Duty. Some Marvel Legends figures that work extremely well with the Joes are Erik Killmonger in his military gear, Crossbones from the Civil War 2-pack… really a lot of the MCU characters. I love combining characters and parts from Action Force, Classified, Marvel Legends, WWE Elite, and Star Wars Black. Also, the different McFarlane DC Batcycles make perfect bikes for this scale, since actual 1:12 scale bikes are a tad too small.
Just found your channel today, and my man I am an instant fan! Hands down some of the best RU-vid content I've come across in minute!! The OG '82 Rock N Roll was my first Joe, and man were my parents pissed that although I loved all of my Star Wars figures that they had gotten me, GI Joe blew those out of the water!
I agree with almost everything you said (they are definitely beard brothers lol) but the M60 Rock n Roll comes with is perfect for him as it still saw use in the early 2000s and fits him being an “older weapon” with him being an OG13 Joe.
Cool seeing you like an OG 1982 Joe member. RetroBlasting shall be proud! Personally, I think the best good guy in the line is still Stalker, also an OG from '82, but both do an amazing job replicating the characters in their own way. Stalker is more faithful to the vintage figure whilst Rock n Roll is kind of a mix of all his toy appearances from what I have seen. Edit; Rock n Roll head + Cap's body = Steve Rogers if he was in 'Nam.

This headscuplt imo would look better on Ultimate version of Captain America. I remember cap having this badass look during the Civil War in the comics. Although he had longer hair

I hope this is a sign they have their QC issues under control, or at the very least improving. He does look amazing though, definitely going to get him.
I agree with you, he looked amazing when I first saw him and thought he would be bad ass to own. I'm hoping when I get mines the paint application won't be so bad, that would suck. Thanks for sharing your video with us 👏🤘

After the Pinkerton situation I've been VERY close to cutting to all my Hasbro Pre-Orders, Hasbro is on EXTREME thin ice. If the QC issues remain like the last wave.....Classified will be MIA in the future in my collection.
I’m glad they got one right. Lately the figures have had some major QC issues and I’ve been thinking about stop collecting GI Joes. I’ll have to see how the rest of the new figure are.
I wish I would’ve got him from BBTS when I saw him. I had to make a choice between getting Kerick and Sgt.Slaughter wave 2 from Vala or this! And I’m starting to think I should’ve got him!
From all the reviews I've seen so far about this figure this is the one that I've enjoyed the most. Love the lights and the set you put for the figures. It inspires me. I'm new at this lovely custom craft/art got some paint and some tools to start with little things and I'm so happy that I was able to put my hands on this one for a good price S/O from Mexico 🇲🇽
Wasn't expecting the jontron appearance. LOL. Way back when in oh 1982ish my brother and I got our first Real American Hero G I Joe figures, he got Rock N Roll and I got Flash. So there is a bit of sentimentality for me with Rock N Roll, I Should have mine before I leave for Joefest. Hopefully.
Articulated ninja, this was a must get figure. When this wave went up Rock N Roll and Scrap Iron had the most promise to me. Sculpt, concept, and accessories. The paint apps have been inconsistent with a lot of lines recently damn for windowless packaging. We gotta trust quality control? Naw, opportunists switching parts out or just plain stealing? I've seen it online and in the store🙇 Your comparisons are appreciated. I have to wait for mine...banging review ✌️
I am liking what I am seeing with this figure. You sold me on him. So far, Outback (both versions) and Zarana are my favorite releases in this line, but then you have to be careful about those pesky QC issues. I am curious to hear your thoughts on the recent (today) pre-orders and am good to wait for when/if you discuss them. I like the way the new BATS (I think you already commented on them in a different video) and Tele-Viper/Flight Pod are looking so far. I don't love the prices, but the prices now are what they are. Funny that the price bar has been shifted up, so now I'm thinking, "Oh, hey. That's not bad. They could have gouged me more. Wait a minute, what am I saying?!"
The music tells me you got the gist of R&R (Craige) My second favorite Joe of all time...My original 3-inch figure was the very first Joe I ever had in the 80s. It was poetic he and the shipwreck came in the same wave. . But this is about Rock n Roll. Yeah, it says in his original file card, he was a professional surfer, and pro weightlifter ('m glad they made him stocky like he was in comics. and also played the bass Guitar. I plan to find a 1/12 Bass Guitar. His personality is basically a dude who is into hard rock, parties. He is also one of the easiest people in G.I Joe to Joe along with. He is over-loyal and over-caring about everyone close to him. LOL He is also very knowledgeable with l NATO and Warsaw Pact, so he gets along well with Big Bear and the rest of the Oktober guard. (a special Russian team we have been begging Hasbro to make. I get my Rock n roll Saturday. Woooooooooooots!! He may be the number 1 classified of 2023. For sure number 1 on the Joe side. His only threat is Snowjob. But for others to think that they would have to be into Arctic guys. I loved all my artic figures as a kid. That and diver..anyone involved with water.

I like him and can’t wait to get him. I’m pretty attached to the original but I like they did some changes. I have to admit your right about being a good Duke head. Not sold on Cap though. Works as a place holder but I think there might be a better option. Anyway cannot wait for mine to arrive.

I’m really glad I picked this guy up; at first I only wanted him because he looked cool and I could probably use the head for a modern Eddie Brock from the Donny Cates/ Ryan Stegman run but I’ve come to love the figure as a whole!
If they released this body in the right colors I'd use him for some kind of custom I'm sure. Speaking of AN have you ever considered doing vids about customs by fans? I personally don't really do any customs that would fit in with your general tastes but I still like seeing what you get up to. Hell seeing your Batwing is what made me decide to grab one. Which I fiddled with a little but can't find any pieces to really add steering handles or seats. Dollar Tree/General didn't have any of the stuff you usually use so I'm kinda stuck with the base Batwing just painted. Anyway I'd still think it'd be neat to see what your fans put together especially if they were inspired by you to do it.
I've been falling out of Classified. I've gotten figures from the last 3-4 waves and they've all had QC problems. I'm afraid to handle the figures because they all feel like they're going to break at the joints, because some of them have. He looks good, but I hope he feels better in hand than Classified has been
I picked this one up along with Shipwreck at Walmart last night, both figures are definitely a step up in terms of QC. Just so happens Rock 'n' Roll and Shipwreck are two of my favorite Joes, so I may give Hasbro a lot of shit, but when they do my favorites justice, I can't help but be pleased.
It's nice that he came with the M60, but I would've liked the S.A.W. as a add in for modern touch as the M60 is not used, and was unwieldy to most soldiers not built like a football guy.
Just thought about it as I was looking at some figures for a custom Im surprised they didnt do a better sleeve tat on RocknRoll like they did for Hanzo from their Overwatch line, he had a full sleeve even on the joints. and Ik Hanzo has a full concept art and digital renders with the tats but this is a custom figure with what somewhat look like custom tats for said character so why not design a full sleeve and use that same technique like on Hanzo...still love the figure tho thought Id share this here since you touched on the tat and paint apps
Yeah, this is actually the first Joe I've been excited about in a little while. I do buy Joe's too, but I'm just very selective of them. AN, do you have a marvel legends retro carded or walgreen's exclusive Punisher? I'm curious how that M60 scales with him.
