... he was the Socrates of fashion. people like him are a "one in a lifetime" kind of people. i get the vibe that he was an absolute sweetheart, genuinely not a single mean bone in his body. don't get me started on his ideas and creativity.... looking back at some of his shows, his collections are the only ones that, even by today's fashion standards, are totally timeless and for which I'd save for years in order to purchase (yes, i mean every single outfit! and I'm never impressed by collections up to this point).
Versace loved beautiful things around him, yet he was plain, kind, thoughtful, and peaceful. Some clothes were stunningly, beautiful, others were distasteful. Fine Silk was a favorite material that he used a lot. Can't help missing him.🌹🌹🌹
I really miss Gianni's influence in global culture & fashion. I don't believe that kind of talent can ever be replaced! Fashion's Emperor is still greatly missed with a huge *VOID*...
i never met gianni in real life, i never even saw him, yet i love him. i love his vision, his mind, his philosophy. he came from rural calabria, where also a part of my family lives, and created daring, visionary, provocative fashion second to none. when i heard the news of his death i was so sad and i cried. i am crying now, again, for the sheer sadness of a beautiful soul having been killed so brutally by a piece of shit. poor gianni, poor us. we lost one of our best.
