I have the pleasue of Co-hosting @royreadsanything event Giant Ape-ril for unsurpisingly the month of April. An event where everything is larger than life. My other co-host is Annie @ObscureBookAdventures

If it's large and breaks things it qualifies.

Loosely for the whole month rather than week by week:
The original King Kong novelisation by Edgar Wallace et al.
King Kong sequels, novelisations of later films, stories featuring Komg himself
Kong pastiches ie other giant apes wreaking havoc
Non-fiction about the movie or people involved such as Fay Wray
