My favorite Balatro run so far was getting the Joker "All face cards are scored twice" with the Joker "All cards count as face cards". That was my second win so far.

Minor correction on Jan: In Balatro, Jokers that trigger on a certain hand type do trigger if your hand is a better hand that contains the triggering hand (e.g a three of a kind counts as containing a pair, a straight flush counts as containing a flush, a Flush House contains a flush and a full house, etc)

2:59:05 Bakalar needs to tread carefully here. Any overt act of aggression towards a Blight Clubber or attempt to compromise the integrity of their Blight, could result in a Bakalar's mandatory participation in a future Blight. I mean, it's right there in the Charter.

The way Sony is pivoting away from live service and exclusive VR could account for many of the layoffs. With the news that Sony is looking into PC VR and the cancellation of the Spider-Man online game and the Last of Us online game, this seems to support this theory.

The stretching out of FF VII Remake at least, is not at all about the characters or story, it's about taking something that was one screen and making a two hour copy paste dungeon, with seven kinds of crane puzzle out of it

Lol. Jeff talks about a cruel fact of capitalism, people tell him to shut up. He doesn't talk about it, he gets accused of journalistic malpractice or being on the take. GB doesn't make these things happen, they're relaying events. They also talk about layoffs to stress genuine sympathy and solidarity with the real human beings that develop games. Corporations that own the creation some of your favorite games, and to whom you may feel misplaced identity or loyalty to, also routinely ruin a whole lot of peoples lives, simply because their reason of existing is to infinitely make profit. Maybe that's the real problem.

I'm getting sick of people trying to sweep layoffs under the rug as if they aren't a massive systemic issue, it needs to be mentioned and highlighted every single time it happens. God forbid the reality of people's livelihoods ends up in your precious video game podcast where it should always be rainbows and butterflies all the time 🤣 I have way more respect for GB because they report on relevant news regardless of the content and are brutally honest with their feelings on the subject.
