$5 million is effectively no bond. There are only two ways she can get out on bond. A millionaire puts up the full $5 million or they pay a never to be refunded $500,000 to the dumbest wealthiest bond company that ever existed. Few if any bond companies can absorb a $5 million loss if she ran. Neither of these scenarios are realistic.

The issue is that hate crimes are not determined by the perps’ skin color, it’s determined by what police find through things like their life, things they’ve said, social media posts, friends they have and groups they’re in. Social media is an especially strong tracer for things like this. It might take a while for them to scrub through these things and figure out whether or not this was race related - and to be honest, people really need to stop arguing and whining in these comments over how it isn’t a hate crime yet, and how “unfair” the police system is to white people. She was arrested for shoplifting, which is a parole violation, got out on bond and then STOLE a knife and killed an innocent child. THIS is what soft on crime policies have gotten us. All he granted her was the request for a preliminary hearing. If a defendant requests a preliminary hearing they dont have the ability to deny them that as it is, as the judge said, something guaranteed by right.

I don't see how the mayor can prejudge the case as a 'random' killing. Bionca Ellis chose to attack this 3-year-old and attacked the child's mother for trying to protect the child. It's not random at all.

I'm assuming that she hid behind a vehicle as she watched them, then lunged for them as they got closer. Its on tape, not imaginary. No one can say, "its not her", the victims blood was all over her, the knife as well +the footage. Its basically in the bag.

If skin color, a phrase on a shirt/hat or if there was a case of mistaken identity, then it's a choice. Generally when "random" is used, it implies that the criminal and the victim don't know each other, so there's no history of grudges, jealousy, etc. that could be a motive.
