You are the only Brit vlogger that I follow in the Philippines and you do put us in a good light. For only vlogging for almost a year and the quality of your videos is amazing, some were outstanding. It is clear you are much more happier there than back in the UK. You are so lucky to find a great family, loving wife and good friends; and you just feel so alive. Stay lucky out there and have fun :).
Yes! I was hoping for a video. Wow. I have never seen prawns that big. As always, perfectly placed music. Beautiful drone footage. Perfect storytelling. The sea urchin in the UK is so expensive. And you have two bottles. Lol. Thank you for the tour around the floating village. The prawns looked so tasty. Always enjoyable to watch your videos. Thank you for sharing. Have a great Sunday. Take care.
if I cook with ginger I always put the ginger after the butter let the aroma of ginger comes out then onions and garlic as last because you do not want to burn the garlic add prawns then fresh hot chili peppers, dried chili flakes, paprika, black pepper, sprite, then taste if there's enough saltiness if not just add a little salt am not using soy sauce. oregano for me is optional. prawns that big is also good in ginataan with kalabasa and sitaw only of course with lemon grass for best result.
Garlic needs 30 seconds no matter what order it goes in if it's minced or finely chopped .. Just until you smell it. Then add liquids or its gonna be off tasting. Never ever brown my garlic please. If it's smashed or a paste texture 20 seconds in oil is done. Or add it near the end for a few minutes in a liquid simmering
I think you would be the first ever person to vlog that island, would have liked to see more. Hopefully I find a few places not shown before for my vlog of my Cebu life... cheers
It may be better to be allergic to shrimp. I love shrimp. It may be my favorite food item. Only one problem. I am not supposed to have that much cholesterol and shrimp just about has more than any other food item. Might as well be allergic.
Kumander D. you are the best cinematographer in the whole world on vlogging. so nice, the combinations of scenery, artistry, and music so amazing. As if a lot of cameras are running. I won't be surprised if "The Golden Play Button" is now on the way for your award. Confidentially fantastic Anselm, the MVP. This is the first of its kind. Lingid is so beautiful and so delicious seafoods.
I still remember; my dad used to do business there! And whenever he comes home , he brings lobster, crabs and lukon. . . Ill tell him we should go back for a daytrip and foodtrip. Thank u kumander for showing this.
Those families who are living in stilt houses, I was thinking about the human as well as their domestic waste. I hope the local government impose rules and provide education regarding proper disposal of their waste NOW before it become difficult to manage while number of families living there are still small. This will maintain that pristine condition of thier ocean/sea. Also it will continue providing source of income for the families in long term.
Hi, Kumander D. I hope you're very much aware of how much joy, knowledge, and fun you bring to your viewers through your vlogging. Seeing you being happy and enjoying (am I right?) and with all that zest for life and humanity is quite endearing and contagious. Above all, thank you for showing respect to our Filipino people, country, and culture. As you may have found out by now, we all reap what we sow. Stay safe and happy, Kumander! :-)
I suddenly miss my grandfather bringing us a pail of lambay and all types of shellfoods from barobo, surigao del sur to Davao. Thanks for sharing kumander D. Stay safe.
Nice video Kumander. Thank you for showing us the beauty of the sea and (safe)places in Mindanao.More videos like that and lots of different Mukbangs please. Most of us Pilipinos, especially in Luzon and Visayas are not aware (because we are afraid of terrorists/rebels/kidnappers)of the beauty of Mindanao. Hope someday, all the places in Mindanao would be peaceful forever...no more terrorists..no more wars..🤞🤞🤞🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
kumander Daot..Anselm..you’re doing great even with limited helpers..it seems,it’s what you’re destined to do! We’re happy and proud of you! We enjoy your work!..take care!
Amazing seafood Feast! We call it "HIPON SUGPO"(giant prawn) in Tagalog dialect. Sugpo is deliciously sweet.. yet meat is hard to medium texture dictated by how long its been cooking on the wok.
KD, the prawns is looks so good especially is a wild caught. WOW I am jealous and I am hungry. Thank you for sharing and always enjoy watching your video.
Thank you so much for visiting and featuring our place Brgy. Sabang Lingig, Surigao del Sur. I hope that our situation will get better and more tourists can come here. I'm so overwhelmed with your video. Thank you so much sir. More videos to come, God bless.
Cool dog, beautiful place and mouthwatering seafood 👌 I saw in a documentary that those sea urchins are so hard to get the meat out and they only get a few bucks. So enjoy and savor it.
And the dog just casually having a swim, haha! You are mastering your drone skills very beautifully. Too bad Jandee and Kumar can’t have crabs and prawns meaning more for you!😁
Thank you for featuring the floating village in Mindanao and its rich ocean resources. I hope someday I would be able to visit Cateel and other places in Mindanao. Excellent blog KD!
Kudos Kumander D. I can't wait for a new uploads. I would love to see the beauty of Cateel and its people. It's a paradise in Mindanao I should say....its calm, relaxing, simple living... a quiet place. A good place to retire... More power to you and Kulas!!! Mabuhay people of Cateel!!!
Yes, Kumander! Kulas the boy itlog to fry itlog in different styles; sunny side up, over easy, hard and soft scrambled, hard boiled, soft boiled and poached while you Kumander the boy sabaw to cook different styles of soup; Tinola chicken soup, sinigang sour fish soup, Linat ang pork and beef soup. How about that?
Nice one boy sabaw. I always ask myself. Why is it that you are unique and very interesting among the rest of vloggers that i've ever seen. Your vlogs always struck and catch one's attention. Maybe you're the descendant of a camelot person and merlin your mentor for the quest of the holy grail. 🤣🏝️🌅🛵🐕⚽🍺🦐🦀🍻🍺💯🏴🇵🇭
Nais kong malaman mo, naging bahagi ka nang buhay ko iniibig kita.. Oh my what the.. You know what kumander that is not a tito song and its obvious a tita song or maybe a bromance song dedicated to you kumander.. Just ask kulas.. 😂
Wow.. amazing ka talaga Commander Daot .. kalami ana giant prawn .. Lokon og Lambay sa bisaya pa more .. interesting kaayo imo mga Vlogs Commander '....Mabuhay ka Commander...
Glad that seemingly the road network are being paved already. Thought that there are still several roads in these areas weren't concrete. Nice video. Keep it coming and going SIR (sire) British accent, hehe.
Wow ! Imagine how much those precious bounty from the sea would cost in high end restaurants. Thanks for sharing your videos. And I am happy for you that you’ve found your niche in Southern Philippines. Much love and respect man !
You know what kumander, you can also raise lokon or tiger prawns on your pond together with the fish. your pond location is very good it can accommodate 5-10 meters of water. try it you will enjoy during harvest time just like what we did on our pond before, after you harvest the fish last thing that will emerge are the giant prawns and it has a good value in the market too. goodluck!
The best thing about moving to the Philippines. The food, but specifically seafood. I buy sea urchin from the local fisherman that get it right out of the Davao gulf. Fresh sea urchin with spicy suka is my favorite snack.
Prawns are so much more delicious than the regular shrimp. The chunky texture alone is like a cross between lobster and shrimp, but the flavor is more pronounced.
Kumander! You guys (with Kulas' circle) look really good together! Atchup barkada! I hope you guys will do a lot of laag after the pandemic for your vlogs!
@@emjaneadvincula3972 7pm that's so early haha, my local Tesco express used to close at 10pm and then there's always the big Tesco open 24/7... Cheshire must be different haha
