Nashville, TN - 1-night reunion of Giant (Dann Huff, David Huff and Mike Brignardello) for a benefit for Todd "Todzilla" Austin, a music figure in Nashville, who lost a lot of possessions and his cats in a house fire recently.
Dann Huff is my all time favourite guitarist. He has it all, tone, texture, feel, melody, I wish I could only play one tenth of what he can. He is a legendary studio guitar player up there with a Steve Lukather. Thank you Mr Dan Huff.
@@osanan ......but does he "currently " sing amazingly like LTC suggested? Point me to "recent' footage of him singing great. There is a reason that he has other people covering the vocals he used to sing. But...........if you can show me some recent footage, then I could be a believer.
Dan Huff is an absolute monster. I saw them back during The Last of The Runaway era and was completely blown away. He’s still one of my favorite guitar players. He truly could do it all. Bravo Maestro.

No disrespect meant at all and this singer is very good. However, he is "not a patch" on Dan singing. Dan, you need to do a Giant revival tour with you on vocals - it is what made the band in the first place. No substitute is necessary.
Sounds good to me. Don't know what the bitching is about. Dann doesn't sing for giant anymore so they have carried on. Promise land is a good album. If you think the singer is bad then check out Bobby Kimball nowadays! (Toto).
I was stage manager and monitor engineer for Kansas for a number of years. We toured Europe with Bobby Kimball as an opener back in the late 90s and he was still crushin it then. Best part...sitting in catering first night with Bobby and he says..."what is this? The Kansas/we're not in Toto anymore tour?" Funny guy! Also met Dann when I was living in Nashville and got to tell him that, for me, Last Of The Runaways is right there with Unsung Heroes as far as guitar influence goes. One last comment...If people knew how demanding it is to perform vocals at this level-year after f-ing year, they would have more sympathy for our rock heroes who languish in depression over 'losing it.' Dann wasn't really able to sing his parts live, even back in the day, because the parts are kinda super-human-and he was busy shredding! Now I gotta go see if there is any youtube of my friend Terry Brock singing for Giant. Thanks for your time.
First I was happy. Then Sad. Dont like the singer. Wish I had attended the Paradiso show in Amsterdam when it was possible but I caught on too late about it.
So...let me understand something: Dan Huff...is the 'Original' Singer, on this Track, Correct? and this Bryan Fella... was called in to 'do it live'... ( assuming because Dan knew about him...and probably was thinking....I can't quite sing that high anymore...so, i'll just play the guitar stuff...and we'll have someone a bit younger, do the Vocal. IS this Correct? thanks Ya'll!
