Many of you may have seen the footage from this hunt before, however this is an episode that tells a deeper story in what we call “Fresh Tracks Episodes”. We still have new “Day-by-Day” videos coming soon which are designed to put you in the moment of the hunt in a “no frills” edit. Those will start being released next Monday. These Fresh Tracks episodes are designed to be quicker paced, entertaining episodes, telling deeper stories, inspiring people to advocate for wild things and wild places. Hope this clears things up, thanks for watching!
Nice! You're gonna rember this 'til your dyin day. All th' EFFORT you put in, from glassin, trackin, to takin th' shot and packin it out helped in how MUCH you'll appreciate and relish th' memory. Great Job!
This had to make Randy feel like a proud papa. From Michael being the new guy not that long ago, to the protege in Marcus, heading out on their own to harvest a quality bull on public land while filming content. The torch is being passed!
You might be the first person ever to score a an elk by its weight! I like where you’re going with that. It’s should be about meat meat meat. Not antler score!
Reminded me of our 2016 Snake River unit hunt in Oregon. Elk were 5 miles from the rim and down 3500 feet of elevation. Which meant the pack out was 5 miles and 3500 feet back up! Took 8 hours getting out. My son in law made a 2nd trip down and back the next day for the hide and rest of the meat.
We went on a Colorado 1st season rifle Elk Hunt this year. Put in the time and miles and though we did not get anything it sure made me respect even more what you are able to do getting it done harvesting elk.
I've hunted this unit in 2013. Hopefully the herds will come back to what they were then. I wouldn't have believed the numbers of huge bulls and so few cows if I Hadn't seen them with my own eyes. Truly incredible!
I used to love watching channels like Randy thing that I cannot get out at all anymore and more and more just like this it all comes down to money that's it money that's just the way life is you're not going to get things for free unless you're willing to wait a long time to watch you can talk about watch the pin note and blah blah blah but it's just more more of the way it is unless you're willing to take money out of your wallet that's capitalism like it or not
16 1/2 minutes into a 30 minute video and I haven't seen the thousand elk migration yet only a few speed goats and a few cows 🤔 ! Edit : 17:17 mark and they haven't seen👀 any elk either 🤦♂️
Loud talking, possibly a f bomb and worse, shooting a bull laying down. Like shooting ducks on water. This is for certain not a Randy Newberg production. It is certainly not how we hunt anything in Idaho. Shameful behavior. Randy, what were you thinking?
So harvesting an elk laying down isn't what ethical...interesting I didn't know there was a law stating u can't harvest while bedded...shameful behavior on who...the guy who types on a computer and hasn't done it himself or herself. If it's an ethical shot and it can be put down....hmmm...
