@@aaronroach1333Oranges aren’t floral at all.. oranges have a very distinct one dimensional flavor in comparison. If you’ve tried a pomelo then you would know what I’m talking about lol it’s nothing like an orange.
Oranges have citrus too. “Nothing like oranges” lmao. Not to mention texture, shape, color of the flesh. And the process to eat it. Definitely nothing like an orange.
Haan toh ham bhee chkotra he kahte haen Uttar Parades may, aur Punjabi hamaray Bhai hain woh bhe Urdu ke bahot kidmat karte te hain. LONG LIVE PUNJAB & PUNJABI PRA.
@@Tierone1337the auto translate messed it up because the literal translation is supposed to be Balinese orange. It's common in Bali I suppose. If I'm not mistaken it's also commonly used as offerings to their gods by Hindu people in Bali just like other fruits that are common there.
Many years ago, I used to work as a bartender at a restaurant/bar that would fresh squeeze citrus juices to order for any drinks that required them. Before a lunch shift one day, we realized that we were almost out of grapefruit. We sent this girl who was not the sharpest to go get grapefruit and she ended up coming back with three pomelos. She said she could not find grapefruit, but somebody in the produce department said that these are just like grapefruit. She thought it would be totally fine that she spent roughly about $30 for three of them but she found out that it was not OK when the manager made her take them back and go to another store to get an actual bag of grapefruits that only costs around six dollars to eight dollars for about 10 of them. 🤦♀️
I actually got into an argument with someone in the market about whether or not pomelo's were real. He said they weren't and he worked in the produce section.😂 This was before cell phones
Different countries have different name for it, just because you have a local word for it doesn’t mean we suppose to call it like that on our countries too, lmfao
Don't throw the skin out. Here what to do with the skin, grind the green part out not to much, now in a pot put the skin add water and sugar boil it for 5 minutes, take the water out put the skin to dry on the sun , it becomes amazing candy
@@sj_______ never heard about it. Batabi is Bengali term for pomelo I believe. Dhuna is used for the larger one and Tobha the smaller one, atleast in Central and South Odisha.
@@sweetzgal3211 krogers have them at least once a year in season. Very rare and expensive but very delicious. They are sweet with a touch of bitterness. Grapefruit is one of my favorite citrus fruits, and they are definitely Grapefruit. Yummy 😋
Can the flesh be used for something? Anything? Cause I’m always curious about that, and I’ll be hesitant to throw/waste it if it can be used for something.
Enverdad fuera gigante si no tubiese tanta cascara. Si no me equivoco aquí en México se le conoce como toronja y su tamaño es lo normal solo que esa del video lo gigante es la cáscara.!! 😂😂
We used to play football with this when we were kids. Just let it dry out in the open for a few days then they become spongy and perfect for playing with.
