I have 2 Flemish Giants their name is Samarian and lucid

It's so people don't mix them up and send them home to the wrong people or steal them. It's like microchipping a dog, except it's visible.

Not much if at all. A lot of people will numb the area with ice or a numbing cream (or both) so the bunny won't feel anything at all. It's easier for everyone that way. Nobody likes to hurt bunnies.

For these breeds I definitely agree. I hate wire bottom cages in general and I wish these rabbits were on a solid surface.

It's a rabbit show. They're only there for a few hours, maybe a day. It would be like you being in a car with food, water, and a full bathroom for a day, but not strapped in and with plenty of socializing to do. It can be fun for the rabbit. "Rescue" any one of those, and their owners that love them will do their best to put you in jail with a permanent record. You don't own a healthy rabbit that big if you don't love it. It would be like if you went to a dog show and started stealing people's dogs. Wire cages with resting pads are to prevent urine staining and later scald and sore hocks when rabbits don't potty train, or if they're traveling and aren't sure where to go. (Plus, this breed can't even be on wire anyway, why did you bring this up here?)

Sorry about the slightly harsh tone of my reply. My mom had a rabbit stolen at a show once. It made her so sad-sick with worry for the rabbit, and frantic that she couldn't do anything. She eventually got it back, but the thief bred it and mistreated it and the rabbit suffered. I think it eventually died. I'm a little over-sensitive to people trying to liberate bunnies at shows.

It was a shame though, because he actually seemed to enjoy the show and won some awards. Then suddenly my mom was out a pet. Even if she was a breeder of rabbits and had lots of baby bunnies per year to play with, that one was special.

R Witmer omg I’m so sorry!!! :( if that ever happened to my lil bunny I would MURDER that person!!!! Ooh the poor rabbit!!!!! And ur mom must of been in so upset!!!! There are so many horrible and cruel people out there in the world!!!!! 😥
