The clicking might be the chassie flexing and the drive shaft binding and the driveshalft looks bent. IDK but maybe.

@@goofygoodpasture8511 If it's happening when you break or accelerate hard on a high grip serface it's probably the mesh between the crown and bevel gear most likely at the front, might need new gears or the diff shimmed

I think it could be the rear diff because it's nose diving so bad so the rear end seams to be skipping teeth dunno tho just a thought.

Yeah something is up there. Reverse and breaking place the same stresses on the drivetrain and suspension as opposed to forward. Something is shifting out of place.

I thought the x max would break on the first jump (of the mega ramp / rc launcher ) and then you nose dive it and still keeps on going . The x max is truly . Mega strong

hold the front bumper and try to back up see is the shaft is turning or if it slips when power is applied

It could be one of two things. 1. When I took apart my Revo 2.0 Diffs they had installed the cross pin carrier blocks backwards (with the beveled ends towards the diff case) and I had a slight clicking when new. 2, I had the pinion on the center driveshaft in the rear, just ever so slightly not seated right with the bearings, and it also caused a rear end click that was like yours. If you've checked all those, then IDK.

The reason my Maximus makes the same clicking noise as your Xmas and while doing the same thing breaking and reversing is because of my front diff pinion and spur gear are slightly worn i had the same thing happen in the back but it clicked going forwards and was ok braking and reversing

My problem stemmed from a little Phillips screw coming lose in the diff which stripped the gears slightly it’s a known fault in the maximum if you loctite the screw before you use it you have no problems which I’ve done now just waiting for the replacement for the front then I’m all good

Clicking is either the bevel that goes to the front diff or the internal gears. Last vid when you decided the internals were fine, you could barely see for the oil. Had same thing on my JLB, but at the rear. The bevel was worn and whenever i put throttle on it made a very similar noise

kevin take a look at your bearing on your pinion gear. also check to see if you need a shim on your pinion gear. mine made the same kind of noise because the pinion gear was moving a small amount when i would break and reverse.

I get that same clicking sound on my Slash and I don’t know what it is either. I usually just clear it out (full throttle) for 5 or so seconds (I don’t recommend this because you could further damage something) and it eventually goes away after a few bashes. Hope you find the solution!

It's raining Traxxaxes!!! I also go one of these BG ZOP's (6000mah, 2S). No complaints, solid batts. Although not in a hardcase, they can take a beating. I just zip--tie them into my old wrecked HK Sabertooth!

Kev i exactly know what that clicking sound is! Open up your center diff and take a look on those small gears. If one of those small gears is just a little bit bad (even if you allmost cant see it) it starts clicking in reverse. I had the exact same problem and fixed it!

The clicking is because the motor isn't set right make sure the motor and pinion are infront of the little plastic lip on chassie. I had same issue it slips behind the plastic and fits on set holes easy.

I went to this skate park a few weeks ago. That big half pipe is huuugee! The camera does not catch just how massive it is! I broke mine in about 20 mins, there’s so many good ramps there it’s soo easy to get carried away. Great place though.

Pure insanity again with the x maxx...... absolutely love it 💪👊👍 I been sending mine off an crazy bmx ramp lately getting a good 50ft high and the old girl takes it surprisingly! I guess that clicking is one of the planetary gears in the centre diff i had the same noise annoy me for a while, I put an extra shim inside when i fixed it and lasted ages since 👍

Make sure one of the front wheel hexes isn’t spinning inside the wheel sometimes they strip out and make that kinda sound. My emaxx had that issue I thought it was the diff but it was one of the front hexes.

The clicking can be a bearing ball stuck in the teeth off the center differential. It locked mine (plastic 6s version), but it starter with a clicking noise.

I have an electric converted XTM mammoth, the original monster truck variant, and it makes the same noise when the planet gears in the diff get knocked out of alignment on hard landings or sideways crashes (ie. Siding into a curb), hope it gives an idea as to where to start looking, based on when its happening, I'd rebuild or replace the front diff. I love the vids and content, keep up the excellent work! Check all ball bearings, they get loose and thats why it clicks.

Hold the rear wheels and keep them from spinning, then spin both of the front wheels the same way, if it still does it the center diff is bad. When you take off the most traction is on the rear therefore the center diff gives more power to the front because of less resistance because the front wheels have little to no weight on it. To check the front or rear diff, spin the left front forward and the right front backwards, if it clicks, its the front. Same with the rear check it like the front.

P.S it's probably you have too much backlash on the front diff input side (pinion gear) if so, it would slip at first under torque as the gear needs to 'ride up' onto the gear to mesh nicely n be ok under load... Just my guess mate.

I'vetested some Zop Power 6S 6500 mAh lipos in my 12 S jet. They don't deliver quite as much power as my Gens Ace 5000 mAh do (96 A full throttle), and the two packs that were from the same Banggood page and part number are shaped differently. One is a little shorter and thicker than the other. I don't trust them to deliver anywhere near full capacity for my jet since I need to be able to count on specs in that one, but for cars and smaller planes they're fine.
