Fantastic breed. They require constant feedback and a job to do. They are also incredible protection animals for you and the family. If you have kids, they'll become infatuated with them very quickly.
@@hughjair133 Oh wow I forgot about interacting with you! My Lethal has been a handful this entire time!! So much so I have twice nearly re-homed him! The 1st time right at a year old, and just recently the 2nd time. But some GS people talked me into staying the course...he is coming along. I have never had a dog that is so independent and headstrong!! His good is very good, but his bad is VERY bad! lol How are things going for you and your beautiful dog? I need to go back and watch your video again!!
@untilIgetbackHome I heard male GS can be a bit more work as they tend to be more independent and stubborn. I got my pup about 8 months ago and she was definitely a lot the first 2 months but afterwards it was smooth sailing. There are still a few issues here and there but I am putting her in proper training classes next month which I hope correct certain walking issue and recall. I hope all is good with your pup
Tell me about it. My neighbor has a giant schnoodle (poodle-giant schnauzer mix) that they adopted recently and it basically lives outside. Every time it sees anybody but it’s owners, it barks and barks and barks forever. I can’t go outside anymore because of this dog.
@@bobermoment I had a Giant Schnauzer, they do bark a lot as you see in this , or "talk" .. but not cool of your neighbor to allow their dog to bark to the point their neighbors don't want to go outside in their own yards. I am a working dog lover but am also big on well behaved dogs, those owners sound like they wanted a designer dog for likes and "look at me" points. The worst most dangerous thing for most working dogs Especially one that has Giant Schnauzer in its genes , is to leave it alone for most of its life. I assume you said something to them ? I'd start yelling "enough!" Every time it began barking for no reason other than its bored and that's what it sounds like, it's possible he/she will listen to you.. I'm not for communism but I swear if I was Dictator , people would have to pass tests before having kids or owning dogs lol. Maybe there's a way you can get the dog to listen to you, I bet there is. Poodles and Giant Schnauzers are highly intelligent, use it to your advantage. Try not to hate the dog, it's its owners who deserve that.
Dude- that is one GORGEOUS, _well-bred_ Giant Schnauzer! And his cut is the way I prefer it! I hate when owners keep the standard look that makes it hard for them to see.
I just came across your channel. He is so darn smart and cute!! I have always had Mini Schnauzers. What is his name??? My first Schnauzer name was Fritz...my second one Gretta and now I have Rose...Rosie. A house is not a home without a Schnauzer!!
My dog barked when you said speak even though she doesn’t know that command yet lol. You taught my dog a new trick somehow. She does it every time now what?
It's funny to me how many giants are so much alike. My boy is very smart and will do anything and everything if there is a ball/toy involved, lol. Well done with his training!
I just love Giant Schnauzers, only pups for me. Our female giant got to puppy sit a big male giant for 35 days. A week later we got to puppy sit our daughters standard and mini schnauzer. They all left so our poor pup is an only dog now.
