I've noticed when we get heavy rain 🌧 here in Nashville the Shellcracker school up shallow and close to the bank Richard!!! A couple videos back on my RU-vid channel I was catching BIG Shellcracker about a foot off the bank in high water conditions

My river looks good this week. It is tempting to set-up for bank fishing but I will use my kayak in those areas I came across. It is near a public access area and some people make a dog-gawn mess coming in after I leave. Have a good day, RG!

We call em chinquapin in North Louisiana but wherever you catch em or whatever you call em it's fun defined. I've caught 2 plus pounders on Lake D'Arbonne here in the past.

I catch too many bass/channel cats when I'm fishing for bluegil, perch, crappie. Usually with the same fishing rod. So I use 6# mono. I couldn't imagine using 2# test.
