My brother, I love fishing for bluegill and you couldn’t have explained it better. I’m going to get myself. One of them 9 foot poles super sensitive. I’m one fancy fly ride reels. My friend, I was going to get me some of them bait. Go on the Internet. It’s about time here in Illinois. And the way you finished it God bless God bless you, brother. And all fisherman around the world amen.🙏 and take them grandkids, fishing, girls and boys. You’d be the best. Papa in the world out there and get it done.🙏🙏🤠🤩
I watch you every time you post. And I still don't know who you do it, you catch more fish in a hour than I do in a weeks time. Tell the truth your fishing for 20 hrs or better and editing down. I go out for bluegill, and end up with 4 inchers..
Learn something on every video! You are so experienced in this sport of fishing. I am so glad that you are using your experience to teach others what you know. Helping keep this sport alive!😊
Thanks so much for this video, Mr. Gene. This 73 year-old really enjoyed it, as Bluegill fishing is my favorite kind of fishing! Here's a short story for you on how my Mom turned me on to Bluegill/Bream fishing over 65 years ago. When I was 8 years old, my Mom introduced me to fishing. We went to the little pond across Austin Drive from where we lived in Gaffney, SC. We dug up some worms from under a big tree near the pond, and Mom cut down a couple of cane poles. She showed me how to attach the line and roll it around the cane pole; how to put an old cork on the line to use as a float, pinch a little BB sized sinker to the line, and tie on a little hook (the hook, line, and sinker were all bought at the local hardware store as this was before the days of the "big box stores"). Then she showed me how to attach the worm onto the hook, and how to softly and smoothly swing the line out to the water, so as not to scare the fish. Later, being the farm girl that she was, she showed me how to clean the catch. That day, she introduced me to a past time that I still enjoy today at the age of 73. She gave me a lifetime of precious memories, this is just one of them!
