The history of this abandoned surgical hospital dates back to when it first opened its doors in 1969. The hospital was a large multi-story building that specialized in surgery for the treatment of pain management. It seems that the hospital closed sometime around 2019. The hospital was loaded with much of the equipment and supplies left behind. The hospital still had surgical suites, operating rooms, examination rooms, research laboratories, optometry chairs, and dental chairs all left behind.
An interesting discovery from this abandoned hospital was when we came across a room completely filled from floor to ceiling with boxes full of malpractice subpoena records for various court cases. It really made us wonder if this place closed because of the financial problems due to all of these medical malpractice lawsuits, but we could not find any actual proof of this.
