What you need to do if a spider is in your home is simple. Get a piece of paper or a container (depending on the size of the spider). Then get a pen or something to prod it with. Then really carefully and really gently, burn the house down.
From what ive seen on youtube and heard in tarantula circles Desert Blondes are about as chill as you can get when owning one. I have 2 other species but I really want a Desert Blonde
Spider Guidance of Human: - If you encounter two legged human that screamed, stay where you are or charged at them for fun. - if it's producing the sounds of annoyance, maybe consider rehousing because the next time it come back, it will be your dooms. - but more importantly, if it's talking too much, it's probably just scientist. It wouldn't hurt you, just be cooperative and chill will them until it put you back in safety.
Better than Steve Irwin holding the giant bird-eating spider on a tiny piece of bark. Thing is inches from his face in a threat posture and he turns his head away to ask his wife to bring him a jar.
I slept outside in the AZ desert when I was younger. I was stranded without any money or place to stay, so I slept ontop of my backpack straight on the ground. I woke up with 5-8 spiders near this size just sitting on me. It was terrifying. I basically just stood up and started flailing around like a lunatic until they all fell off. So DO NOT sleep outside in the desert without a tent. lol
He was pretty calm like HEY PEOPLE ARE HOLDING ME FOR THE FIRST TIMR AND THEIR FILMING ME?? I MUST PUT UP A GOOD SHOW TO BE FAMOUS TO ALL THE SPIDER LADIES XD But it was like very calm
Gabriel Ong Well to be honest if someone came up to me and just started filming me for no reason I'd start showing off to the best of my ability too xD
Joyde That time, for teachers' day, A teacher came up to us and started filiming me and my friend and we panicked and didnt know what to say so we turnt down the offer of being on a big screen and shown to the school
It’s amazing how he has the experience to observe and teach about these animals up close and not harm or upset the animal, really a beautiful thing to watch nature when it’s a peaceful encounter
I have _terrible_ arachniophobia. I spend about two years in a program called Animal Academy (and I loved every second of it). But there was one day I wasn't too fond of. We were working with the tarantulas they had there. Now, nobody was forced to work with them--the workers knew that some of us were TERRIFIED of spiders, so we got to work with the kangaroo young instead. But one of the kids working with the tarantulas sneezed that thing said _THIS PLACE AIN'T SAFE NO MORE_ and jumped off his hand. And directly on to my shoulder. Luckily, I didn't hurt it--but I think I traumatized it. I screamed really, _really_ loud before I remembered just how many sound-sensetive animals there were at AA at the time. I was scared badly enough that I was basically a crying ball of fear, so they legit had Tim (one of the teachers there--he's huge and burly but so very gentle and fatherly) pick me up and he just put me in the room with all the chinchillas and I just sort of laid there with Tim putting chinchillas on me until I couln't stop laughing. And the moral of the story is to never be within twelve feet of a tarantula if you've got as serious a case of arachniophobia as I do.
When I was a little kid, like 5 yrs old, my neighbor Dan had a pet tarantula and it was HUGE. Maybe just because I was small back then. Anyways, we took it out of its cage and Dan let my sister and I hold it. Then my sister dropped it and we had to look around the house for ages to find it.
Even though the body structure of a spider is kinda weird, creepy and extraordinary, I'm always amazed by that elegant way an arachnid is walking around with those slow careful steps. What masterpieces nature create. Stunning.
Karl 355 Tarantulas are like ball pythons in the sense that they're more flight than fight animals. They will if pushed to extremes, but for the most part, they just don't care.
Shadox 6788 I won't anytime soon. Also, sorry about my horrible spelling -- that autocorrect sure killed me this time. Partly, it's because I didn't check before posting but I think it also has to do with this new RU-vid service.
You actually dont need to worry about a bite from tarantulas. They would much rather flick their urticating hairs than bite you. This species is very docile however each tarantula has a different personality and some can be defensive. I currently have 4 and I absolutely adore them. Never been bit once and I was told my Lasiodora Klugi (Bahia Scarlet Birdeater) is extremely defensive. She is just the sweetest thing and I have no problems with her other than her urticating hairs which are in fact extremely irritating.
When I lived in colorado, there was a tarantula named Rosie that you could hold and she was friendly and I held her twice at a wildlife experience and a butterfly pavilion and every time you held her you got a sticker saying "I held Rosie" and I got two of those stickers. :D
Aww! The way it slowly crawls up to him as if it's gonna say "Oh hai there human!" Spiders are actually very cute when you see their face up close because their eyes look so big and shiny~
Because they are small and could easily crawl into your ear, mouth or other small places. At least that's what makes me afraid of small spiders and not large ones.
+Melvin Velez what? i can understand black widows but why scared of wolf spiders? i pick them up all the time they are not aggressive in the least and rarely ever bite least not the ones here in texas
I used to be terrified of spiders. Then, I had my friend's pet tarantula walk on my hand. Guess that's what they would call desensitizing. In a small way, that was a life changing event. I saw them in a new light, and now find them really interesting. They can still freak me out a bit, very large, or falling on me when I'm half asleep! But normally, very interesting to watch.
I used to be terrified of spiders and now I own two tarantulas. If you wanna see/learn more about tarantulas in general I suggest watching TheDarkDen or ExoticsLair. They're both really cool channels and also how I got into keeping T's.
Jaymes elliot they more or less reflect light from their eyes and project it. Same as dogs and cats, but tarantulas like this are blind and deaf. They only use their eyes to tell if it’s day or night time. They mostly rely on the hair on their legs to see around them.
I was afraid of tarantulas and spiders as a kid. My school had an animal show and the guy took out a tarantula and then placed it on my head without warning. It was the most surreal moment of my life. I’m no longer afraid but now love the big spiders.
These tarantulas are known to be a calm and docile species. U can tell because when he cupped his hands the creature instantly ealked on his hands. If he wanted something more extreme he should handle an OBT.
Yeah these are one of the nice and docile ones...definitely better fitting for my phobia...^^ If i ever consider getting one it might be an Arizona Blonde.
Karisma Grier I do it every night, there was four... no five spider encounters... wait no, it was six, one in the bathroom, four in the bedroom, and one in the hallway, wait it's seven, no eight, one in the living room, and one in the kitchen, there was also a kranefly and a I think it's called a queen moth, because it was female, and huge!!!
Karisma Grier nope. I do too. Also, this is off topic but when I go in my room, I always check for bugs and one time, I was checking for bugs, there was this huge centipede on the wall. Again, that's off topic but it scared the heck outta me.😨😂
*sees spider *calls dad up *dad says he will be up in 2 minutes *5 minutes later Dad: what happened to the spider? Did u put it back out side? Me:*hides blow torch behind back*...Yeah sure dad I did. Dad:Proud of you! Saving nature!
I have a pool and one day we saw a spider in it. The spider had weird lumps on it's back and when we fished it out, baby mini spiders came pouring into the pool. NOPE NOPE NOPE NOPE
I own 5 tarantulas, including one of this particular species. This species is known for being the puppy dogs of the Tarantula world, they're absolute sweethearts!
deathrooster14 cheers, ive also got a question. What do you think would be a great begginer tarantula? I would mostly like a docile one who can be handled easily
@@Matthew-qf7zz GBBs have a tendency to be flighty and defensive sometimes, not what I would call handleable. Tarantulas in general can be hurt or killed by poor handling since their abdomens can rupture easily. My recommendation would be an adult or juvie from the Aphonopelma, Tlitocatl/Bracypelma, and Grammostola genera. Spiderling tend to grow glacially slow so unless you want a tiny spider for several years I'd recommend getting at least a juvie.
Nobody is going to believe me, but I set my phone down on my desk while watching this, and a tiny spider crawled up along the screen. I thought it was part of the video for a second.
4:13 *kickbutt gang of bugs hears threat* Leader: o yeeea, well see bout dat.. * puts on leather jacket and puts toothpick in mouth* leader: LETS GO SHOW THIS EIGHT LEGGED FREAK HOW WE ROLL!!! Crew: yeeeeaaaa!!! * rides off on motorcycle* ~ days later~ Bug news- "Local biker bug club has been found brutally murdered with venom found in their remaining bodies, local spiders say they have no idea what happened."
To be fair, if you an see a spider that's 2km away without any sort of telescope or binoculars, that's a huge freakin' spider and you are perfectly in the right to be terrified.
I was scared from my childhood till i was about 24. I guess about every single detail on every spider. Even small house spider. Then i just started to be more curious about them, also in nature it self and in literally any animal, and anything in details u know. And as i was watching and learning a little bit about it, i just found then so fascinating and interesting. Now when i see any spider and i know its is not dangerous, i well i will take it slowly, put on my arm and just watching it. 😀 🤷🏻♂️ nature is awesome
I love tarantulas and have held several and would love to own some, however my Dad is has TOTAL arachnophobia! I can't understand how anyone is afraid of spiders, I think they're beautiful creatures!
Honestly, what he's not telling you is that this Tarantula is one of the easiest, calmest and friendliest one's available. Mine just moulted, she's so sweet...
It takes a lot, even if you sit there prodding at it it will most likely just rear up and try to scare you off. They certainly aren't aggressive creatures.
+jedder Yeah exactly right, it depends on the species, I have a tarantula called Lasiodora Parahybana, in top 3 of largest in the world and I can prod her if I chose to and she would either run or flick some hairs *if she's starving she will instantly attack) And I also have a spider called a Pterinochilus Murinis, the OBT tarantula, that thing will bite you if you breath wrong or move the wrong finger, hell, they will racially abuse you for not being a spider.
ronger97 Arachnids are a 'group' of animals. Spiders constitute 'one' class in that group. You may want to understand what you're talking about before you comment on a given topic. Couldn't hurt ...
