When I was younger, I hitchhiked from Estevan, Saskatchewan to Vancouver in BC, bought myself a 1969 Honda CB500 and then rode it back. It wasn’t quite as long, but it was the most happy days of my life.

clear cuts provide early successional forest for wildlife, increasing the biodiversity of plant and animal species in the area

Great vlog and looks to be an amazing adventure. The clear cut forest? That's logging in the Pacific Northwest. Those trees are managed and will be back in 20 years, ready to be cut again. The largely leave the old growth alone now. Never pretty watching the sausage being made...or lumber in this case. Stay safe.

I am loving taking this trip with you! These are places I will likely never see so keep sharing!! Suggestion- could you add a small map in the beginning or end that tracks your travel for that day? Just a thought so we have a better idea where u are and what is next...

I would be very interested in more technical information about the trip: what kind of bike did you buy? Why that bike? How did you find it and make the deal? How long have you been riding and what did you do to prepare for this trip? Describe your safety equipment. What roads are you on - interstates or star highways - and why? Does your experience as a pilot give you more confidence on a motorcycle?

Hey Dean! Your ride is inspiring. I've ridden my old GL1100 up and down the East coast but I've never taken it out west. Maybe I'll do it this summer. Gear question, what headphones do you use while riding? I was using Shure's but it's hard to keep them in my ears when I put my helmet on.

I'm liking youe videos so far..one thing, the music is waaay too loud sometimes and it's louder than your voice. Maybe tone that down to background music. Great stuff though.
