These videos remind me a lot of Long Way Round with Ewan McGregor and Charley Boorman (which just so happens to be my favourite series ever). Now you just need a Swiss cameraman to help you film the drive-by scenes :) I've filmed solo cycling trips before so I know how much of a PITA they can be to set up properly. Keep up the good work! Also, a dedicated helmet mic would be the icing on the cake for the dialogue, but it's understandable if it would add too much extra editing.

I am watching this again two years later. You need to make another road trip, now is good.

Hey Dean. I really like your vlogs and enjoy watching them but there is one thing that bothers me a little bit. For my liking the music is sometimes too loud when you're talking. In those places I have big problems to understand what you're saying. I'm really jealous of your adventure but this year in august/septembre I will do a similiar trip like yours. Unfortunatly with a car and not a motorcycle. You and your vlogs increasing my anticipation(I hope thats the right word) for this trip. I can't wait to enter the airplane to fly to the US. Since you're in Vegas, consider buying a small LAV mic. Great for doing voice over while you drive.

Sound levels need some work and a better mic or subtitles would be amazing. Great videos, thank you for sharing. Are you keeping your old bike?
