"Gun-dam" It's NOT hard to say! Come on CBS! Also..."Compared to Star Wars and Star Trek"? Only because American audiences have such limited imaginations that they can't conceive of a science fiction show other than those 2 franchises. "Mobile Suit Gundam" first aired April 7th, 1979, just a couple years after Star Wars, and most likely was in production before Star Wars released. It's brand of science fiction is VASTLY different from anything American, focusing it's story on the hardships and tragedy of war...and sadly, the stories told are just as relevant today as it was 40 years ago. Just a thought, but if you are going to cover pop culture, you MIGHT want to have a journalist that will at least do some basic research before writing a story on it...or, even better, have someone who already knows about what they are covering to do the story.
Actually, Tomino has admitted that he took inspiration from Star Wars. After all, where did he get the idea for beam sabers and newtypes? It's actually not incorrect to compare it to Star Wars and Star Trek in terms of media presence and shared tropes, with the only main difference is the more grounded storytelling
Japan is very advanced they definitely can create higher tech weapon like in Fictional in anime, is scary if they become evil again like in WW1 and WW2..
They should do Godzilla! They could have him coming out of the ocean, giant and life like. It could be done with balloon structure. Oh well, if I had the money...
Well, since Mobile suits were created for warfare to more or less replace tanks, and fighters jets. I assume the EFF would be too busy with war to worry about a giant lizard
Now I'm happy to see that they have something like that but I am not going. When they say that that thing will fall over. You're not fooling me. You got it on there to make it look like a toy. But that is a weapon people. Please open your eyes. I know it's a pretty thing. It's a nice thing to have. It's it's every kid's dream to have something like that. I'm not going to lie. I used to have toys like that myself cuz I was a collector but that is a weapon. Imagine if AI got control of that with the weaponry that is out now. The AI system already know how to create laser cannons they just haven't asked it out. But I bet if they ask that AI how to create anything that we can't do it will tell them. How could you imagine that robot and many other ones like it in a battle? It is nothing to make it fly once AI gets a hold of it. I'm just saying it is some to really think about. It is not just a toy, small soldiers, Gundam, robot, giant. Everything else is just a toy. Our mission find the enemy and Gorgonites destroy them I want total destruction. If it means lacer rates or kills. I want to delete all it mobile lol
A Japanese shrine is not a temple. It is a space where virtual gods, ancestors, and war criminals are gathered. Please know the history and travel. You didn't go to the temple, you went to commemorate the war criminals of World War II.
Everything is a matter of choice. Japan, the leading war criminal of World War II, chose not to apologize to the war victims and chose not to reflect. During the war, Japan slaughtered numerous innocent people, destroyed their language and culture, and looted artifacts. Until now, Japan has been officially using the Rising Sun Flag, which was used during the war, and it has not changed from the state of war criminals, claiming that other countries' territories belong to Japan. Soon, Japan will see the consequences of that choice. It was also chosen by Japan, so it should be accepted. As a result of a terrible choice...
Meanwhile, people around the world don't have enough to eat, and Japan spends money on this boring P.o.S. (How many times can you watch it take two steps, lean forward, and then start over?) Not to mention how much the energy used to construct, run, maintain, and eventually dispose of this thing contributes to global warming. It would have been better to use those resources to solve the Fukishima problem.
Germany and Japan are the same war criminal countries, but the paths they chose were very different. Unlike Japan, which distorts and turns away, Germany has chosen the path of acknowledging and reflecting on its past mistakes. There are places all over Germany to record and commemorate the victims. A day of remembrance of the victims was also designated. So far, the government has compensated the victims about 106 trillion won, directly or indirectly. However, there are still many people who think it is not enough. Japan, the same war criminal country, took a different path. Recently, they have been moving beyond denying responsibility and trying to distort history altogether. While avoiding apologies and reparations from the past, it appears that they are isolated from the whole of Asia. 'What actually happened can be repeated at any time.' This is why Germany constantly records and reflects. This is why Japan should see and learn from Germany.
