Maybe they should do some lightweight versions. Relieving weight wherever possible using the same materials. Personally I prefer the heavier but definitely not opposed to them making lighter versions for those who prefer lightweight.

Just received mine in black G10. Sending it right back. Bearings aren’t the issue, it’s the detent pressing too hard on the blade surface (which is why there’s that trace/groove present). Gritty feeling was probably the detent traveling across the shaven material running along the groove. Had to tighten to rid of blade rocking, but then the blade fails to deploy or gets stuck. I REALLY wanted to like this knife too! Sadly, I had already purchased the bearings used in this video in anticipation of installing them. Knife looks and feels great, but the design and execution is flawed in my opinion.

Love my tribeca after sanding leaf jipping* and skiffs. Would love to see an aftermarket ti back spacer to buy or aluminum

My 1200+ Shiro came with hardened steel bearings. I have some ceramic bearings coming in but yeah… pretty weird. Great action and definitely a different price point but it might just be a European thing…

@LeftyEDC I bought this knife. it is amazing. Love the feel in hand, love the weight, just falls into the hand as you open it. Question for you: i took the knife apart as it was squeaking, needed oil. Partially stripped the pivot bolt. Reached out to giant mouse, and they had no pivots to buy unfortunately. Any thoughts on where i could find a new pivot for this? Thanks, love your work, a lot of fun.
