Nice to see Padres bats battle back again. We didn't have that last season, especially from the 7-9 spots. But that's already been turned around!

Webb pitched well. Decent debut game for Lee. Conforto and Ahmed had good games. The 7th inning implosion cost this game. Hopefully the Giants will get the bullpen sorted out and score some more runs. Lets get that bounce back game tomorrow.

Great game only thing greater would be if the Padres highlights would stop being the very last thing to get updated every single time they play like they did last year. Seriously, they were the 2nd game of the day and every other game after them was uploaded before them. Orioles game was uploaded 4 hours ago and they started 1 hour before this one, insane.

Its a good sign to have the Padres come from behind ( at 7th inning point ) to win the game opener of season. As we recall, the team struggled thru out 2023 season of games of being behind RUNS at and after 7th inning was the identity for the Padres 2023. 90% of those games exposed what the Padres need to have the better season for 2024. If team was ahead at 7th inning mark, it would be just the season opener of the win, but it was GREAT to see this tempo in favor of those rally moments among fans of the FAITH we have in believing is a great vibe when you there among US of having more games like this one to live out this vibe among US fans..

Great Win For The Padres

The new enforcement of the catching a ball at second and not blocking the base running path rule made Ahmed stay on the third base side of second base not letting him be in the right position to catch the ball and tag the runner out getting the first out of the 7th inning, which changed the whole course of the game. I am not a fan of the overly broad way that rule is now being enforced. It seems like if you block the path at anytime except when you already have the ball the runner will be called safe, instead of in the process of catching the ball you end up blocking the path then you are fine.

To bad about Juan Soto but his all about money .. I’m a dodger fan wife is a Padre fan .. I’m from LA she’s from SD 😂 we love our teams I go for the padres always when not playing the dodgers .. you guys have a good team this year .. I feel it’s better then last years team ..
