wow when i clicked your video in beginning and once I saw the long hair/shorts plus the marshall head, I was expecting maniac heavy metal runs plus endless/mindless super fast Malmsteen style noodling like i seen in so many other videos, and then i see you do the complete opposite!! I'm like whaaaat? its like coming up for breath of fresh air! its a welcome refresh from those headache inducting headbanging metal videos that saturate all over youtube.. Good job man! Hi Josh. With the 50ies wiring the P94 losing less treble during turn the Volume down on the guitar. My SZ needed new pots, so i put some cts in there and soldering it with the 50ies wiring. With 500k pots, the P94´s gives you entire more high treble, normally single coils or P94 / P90 are soldered with 250k or 300k pots, but for me it sounded best with 500k. :)

Thanks for showing some naked views into the pickups. I’m doing a Les Paul mod with a Bigsby and am pretty sure I’m putting in a P94 into the bridge.

Yes, i have installed the P94R in another guitar with a Seymour Duncan SH-4 on bridge position, works fine. The Gibson P94´s have more power than comparably single coils.

I've got a P94T in the bridge position of a Gibson Les Paul Studio. I'm thinking of putting that pick up in the neck position and get a DiMazio DP100 in the bridge. Are the P94T and the P94R really different? Would it hurt to put the P94T in the neck position? Any views on this?

Marcus, great job with the Ibby, I'm trying to overhaul my SZ320 too and so far have kept it to pickups and tuners. Was the work you put in re-wiring it with new pots, etc. worth it? My guitar woke up really well with seymour duncan pickups, and I'm kinda hesitant to pull most of the wiring out unless it'll be worth the effort. Yours sounds Bad Ass dude, was it the pickups, or did the wiring provide their own effect? Keep rockin' dude.

Great tone and playing !!! I am curious though if the magnets can be flipped in the P94R to do sort of a Peter Green Mod ? I too have an S series Ibanez and I was thinking of going with the Angus Young bucker in the bridge with a P94R in the neck.. My ibanez only has 1 volume and 1 tone,, Do you think concentric pots would be ok or would adding at least another volume pot be better ? Thanks

Could you tell me what kind of capacitor u used and if those 500k pots are linear or logarithmic? Still satisfied with your configuration? I have a Michael Kelly Valor Custom where I want to do the same mod. Great sound!

Hey I noticed you have the pickup in both positions. All I can find online is the bridge model. Did you put the bridge pickup in both positions?
