Different Gideon AI's in both Flash and Legends, also Barry didn't create her yet. He created a portable unit to house the Gideon from the time vault, same one that Thawn brought back from the future.

Actually she did materialize (have a physical form/body) in 1 episode if I'm not mistaken (forgot which episode/season) In that episode she kissed Rip Hunter

@@calebcampbell3854 that was not the same Gideon. Also part of the main reason is because her actress is one of those "became too pricey for their budget" now actors, even for cameos, hence why time vault Gideon has been shown less and less now. Same reason Bungie stopped using her character in Destiny 2, too expensive for them now.

So Astra accidentally Created a human body for a destroyed fully-evolved AI from the wreckage of the Waverider? Accidentally...? She's more powerful than John Constantine ever was, isn't she? She just doesn't know it. Human Gideon is going to be...interesting, given she knows everyone's secrets at least, no? Also, we have yet to see just what this "new" version of Gideon is and can do, maybe even who she is now. The bond between Spooner and Astra is also a nice touch, both are outsiders who need a friend. I just can't believe they actually had Gary eat J Edgar Hoover...

in Season 5, John said her time in hell made Astra a hotbed of magic and that just her at full power could destroy the loom of fate, which had semi multiversal dominion at some point

No its apart of the resurrection spell she was trying to do... apparently she didnt finish it so the second she finished it Gideon appeared.

The spell was meant to resurrect a human, not a machine. I think I remember Rip at one point saying Gideon was organic supercomputer or something similar, so she was a living entity of sorts. So the spell again was meant to resurrect only humans or in this case organic life, hence a human/organic body. I want to say she might be something similar to brainiac 5, but as there was not much exploration into the subject as of this post, we will have to wait for a couple more episodes.
