DUDE.... what's with the room temperature IQ? Get smarter! Another wanker that cannot resist commenting about the dust. I appreciate your comment, as dumb as it is. As long as you jackasses keep commenting on it, I'm going to leave it like that, get more comments on my video, and ridicule you fools. You're getting trolled and you don't even know it, that's the most glorious part

Got a great black Friday deal on this motherboard. Also, get a air purifier for your room and you will have WAY less dust. I live in a desert climate as well and an air purifier helps a ton.
@Zeus33rd
@Zeus33rd Год назад
What chip you gonna put in yours? As for the dust...it's not so much the desert climate that causes the dust, it's being literally in the middle of nowhere, at the end of a 35 mile long dirt road. I would have to put my entire house in a filtered box.

How to remove the GPU (didn't even noticed this button) Where the hell are the rest M2 slots. (Thought that the "Armor" is just fancy) yeah I know I feel like stupid now. Well done thank you mate

that volume of dust might indicate a bit too much negative air pressure in your case

hey there! newbie here installing the same SSD in a Gigabyte Aorus Elite AX. I noticed that there is a film under the heatshrink much like the one on the right hand side you have there with the white lettering that says "gigabyte remove before use" My question is, do I remove JUST the transparent film or the whole material attached to it before installing?
@Zeus33rd
@Zeus33rd Год назад
That's an excellent question to ask. Remove ONLY the transparent film. The other material is there to conduct heat away from the drive. It's basically thermal compound.
@MrFerchomadman
@MrFerchomadman Год назад
@@Zeus33rd saved me tons of time of research and video watching right there my friend! And I reckon that on the heat shrink itself I only remove the blue film and leave the white material on, correct? Thank you!!
@Zeus33rd
@Zeus33rd Год назад
@@MrFerchomadman That is correct, whenever you see some of that goopy kind of sticky foam looking stuff on PC components, under a heat sink on a video card or whatever other component, it is always heat transfer material and you never want to remove it. Just like you were experiencing, new parts have the clear plastic covering on it to protect it, just like when you have to pull the plastic covering off little bits of your motherboard or off the screen of a new phone. I understood and recognized that you were probably not going to continue with your project until you found some concrete information. I can understand how time-consuming it can be to find information when you don't know exactly how to find the information you need.

I have the same motherboard. Been getting this hint of chemical smell. Did u smell anything after running a game or something?
@scotttait2197
@scotttait2197 Год назад
This is common with all modern electronics its a kind of lacquer thats applied to protect against moisture in transit , it essentially cooks off after a while, if you still snell it after prolonged usage then you might have an issue as it should only last about a day or so under normal usage

I have this same motherboard. apparently using the Gen 5 m.2_1 slot slows down the GPU pcie 5.0 from X16 to X8. moved my boot drive to m.2_2 which is still connected to the CPU. use all the other slots for extra drives.

@Zeus33rd was there a noticeable difference? I have never come close to saturating cards on a 16x gen 3 slot before and running the gen 4 at 8x is the same speed sobI don't see a reason not to use it and get the heatsinking?

It does not lose the pci-e line of the gpu, I accept that it uses a 5-gen m.2. but if you use a 4 gen no. That depends on the mother. the gigabyte aurus master if I'm not mistaken the cpu has 16 line pci-e 5.0 and 4 line 4.0 and z790 chipset has 8 line pci-e 4 and 4 line pci-e 3 gen
