I like durian too. Flavor wise, I would say most people would probably enjoy it since it's a very sweet taste. I think the two main barriers of entry sould be the smell and texture. Pungentness aside, I've heard the scent being described as gasoline, so I can see how that would drive people away. The texture is also a hurdle since sticky and mushy makes it a tough sell. That's why when i introduce durian to people, I usually semi chill it in the freezer. It gets rid of the bulk of the smell and makes the texture more palpable for your average joe. Managed to convert a couple of durian haters this way.

Durian flavour stuff can be a hit or miss because sometime the flavour is way too potent but the fruit is 10/10
