I love hearing ballers talk about Kobe and his Chessmaster mindset. A lot of people didn’t know that he was a chess player. For the record, I taught Kobe how to play chess. It was in 1998, we were in a recording studio at Sony Records headquarters in Santa Monica. He and I were there recording the CHEIZAW rap album. Before he went solo. True story. Kobe was so different and focused on basketball. People hated on him a lot during his career. He didn't get love until the end and especially after he died.

@Omari Jenkins uhh he was great for his Era lol....most of the high scoring guards today don't play defense either (Dame Kyrie Trey Young etc) Gilbert was no different then them except his Era was little more tougher and physical and it wasn't as many high scoring PGs as it is now
