Thanks for the feedback. I have just finished a retaping of the technique. Hopefully, it is better for you. Here is the link for it. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-k8jIIjkfMX0.html
I have just sprinkled the flakes on, pressed them down and rubbed with the scrubby, without the tedious process of individually placing them. It works great and saves time. I made 25 cards using one jar, and it is nearly as full as when I started.
I love how this turned out. Even though you struggled a bit with camera issues it was easy to figure out what you were doing. You did a great job explaining what you were doing. Can’t wait to try this. Thank you for sharing. Great job 👍❤️

The finished products you showed in the beginning are beautiful! Unfortunately the video is too frustrating to keep watching. What if you were to remake the video with appropriate camera angle and height?

I have filmed a newer video that has everything in the frame a bit better. Here is the link: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-k8jIIjkfMX0.html Hope you enjoy it!
I love this technique. I've done it occasionally. Even when I use my embossing buddy, my gilded panel is still sticky and gets worse when I use the embossing folders. Any suggestions? Thanks for sharing. Your cards are beautiful.
I do still get a bit of stick on them..I go over it with my embossing buddy and kind of ‘buff/rub’ it in. But I do still sometimes end up with them a bit tacky. I find it also helps to use the bigger pieces of gilding flake..the more of the ‘leftover bits’ I use the more tack is left. Sorry I can’t help more. 😳
Some flakes are treated to be sticky for ease of use, I found using a light spray of Artist's Fixative works great, just be sure it is very dry before you emboss The Fixative will not affect the stazon ink. This spray works great for fixing chalk & water color cards as well, cards are handled more than fine art and benefit from a bit of fixative.
Thanks for the feedback. Unfortunately I can't change this video, however I have recently released a 'Stazon and gilding flakes...take 2 video. In that one I have made more of an effort to be in frame.

Love the cards and techniques! I absolutely can't stand the scratchy noise, had to Fast Forward to get away. I suggest you cut the sound on those parts.😢
The sponge part of the 'scoochie' certainly feels like a sponge brush, so it may work. The only concern I'd have is the sponge might not have enough firmness to actually push the flakes around. But it's certainly worth a try as that would be a very inexpensive alternative. Great idea! Please let me know if you do try it.

Lol! It is easy to confuse or miss hear it. The double sided adhesive tape I used is by brand name Sook-Wang. But any strong double sided adhesive will work. I hope that helps!
Hmm…is it possible your pad needs to be re-inked? Also, what color of ink did you use? Black usually works really well but other colors can ‘show’ as very light tint on the gilding flakes. It can also be a good idea to try embossing and de-bossing (the reverse side) to see both looks and see if your ink color shows more on one version or the other. Hope that helps!!
I’ve never used gesso so I can’t say for sure..but I assume it will cover everything?? As you use your ink..you will still ‘see’ the metallic color under the ink..you just tint the gilding area it touches.

Liked the technique but perhaps less description of everything you are doing as 10 mins in just put guilding flakes. Think good content but you could make this shorter if you want more people to watch. Thank you though x
You can search Corinne Nikish on RU-vid..you should see my smiling face (LOL!) From there you can watch my videos. I believe I have 26 posted so far. If you hit the subscribe button, RU-vid should notify you when another one gets posted.
