Perhaps the minister was not informed because he didn’t know which questions to ask Home Affairs. Given his poor performance to date, that is entirely plausible. If he then expects civil servants to take the blame on his behalf, all the more reason for him to be sacked.

I think he may have Aboriginal ancestry. If so, that'd probably be a contributing factor, as these days positions are often filled based on ideology, not demonstrated competence. Burney is a fairly obvious example.

Giles obviously doesn't have what's required to do the job and as a result there has been some horrific decisions made or not made. He clearly needs to go. Albo show some leadership for a change and sack Giles before he causes more issues.

I've been a labor girl all my adult life, I'm disgusted with Albanese & his inability to lead Australia or his party. Hell, will freeze over, before I vote Labor ever again.
