If Ikaris is modern Superman, the. Gilgamesh here feels more like First Appearance Superman

too much of it would be bad tbh, I like how Marvel display super strength, not too many effects but still feel powerful.

Thanos is an eternal and he gave Hulk so much ptsd that he refused to come out of Banner after their fight. By that, measure given that Gilgamesh would def be stronger than Thanos strength-wise, MCU Hulk would fold so fast.

@@PatatasinPajamass and by what logic you determined that he would be stronger than Thanos? Because feat-wise, Thanos can beat all Eternals at the same time, except maybe Ikaris, barehanded.

@@nikersramnikers7081 The Eternals are separated by essentially specialties, and Ikaris' special feat is flying and laser eyes not strength and durability which is Gilgamesh' domain. Seeing how the final fight went down where Phastos besically can pin down Ikaris for the most part, I'd say if Gilgamesh was there he wouldve knocked him out the way he did with Thena. So if if its a brawl, I'd put my money on Gilgamesh against Thanos. To be fair, Ikaris would also beat Thanos in combat. Thanos isnt even a full Eternal at that. If they follow comic lore, Thanos is only half eternal with a Deviant strain thats why he looks like a grape. Thanos' strength isnt in combat but in his leadership or brains anyway, still a feat on its own.

@@PatatasinPajamass umm, it doesn't work like that, the fact they have specialities doesn't mean no other Eternal can have super strength and durability, in fact all of them do, with Ikaris and Gilgamesh being the strongest. Also, for me Ikaris didn't have a specialisation, he is the most well-rounded Eternal, which is why he's the most powerful. Also, I suppose if Gilgamesh was present during the final fight, Ikaris wouldn't fight the way he did in the film, since he still didn't want to hurt his friends, but with Gil present he would probably go all out to take him out of the fight first, though I may be wrong. And you still didn't proof why Gil would even be a nuisance for Thanos in a fist fight, his feats in the movie were kinda unimpressive, his best feat is he scales to Ikaris physically, which still isn't enough to beat Thanos, even if they teamed up. By the way, the fact that Thanos is only partially Eternal makes him stronger than regular Eternals in the comics, he is basically an MVP among them, and judging by their showings in the movie, the same can be said about MCU.
