Great show when he was on screen kicking a of bad guys and creatures. It went off the rails for me when it got into the tedious storyline of the ugly/hot chick. I know nothing of the books, but Henry was great in the show.
He doesn't really seem all that strong. Tossing those cars around was kind of impressive, but he couldn't break through that concrete doorway. For comparison, Raze (who wasn't even close to the strongest werewolf) was able to bust through a 6-inch concrete wall like the Kool-Aid man in the first film.
I think he might be Xibalba’s brother, given how they’re both named after two different Mesoamerican afterlife locations: Mictlan (Aztec) and Xibalba (Mayan)
She was way too powerful, no one could touch her. There was actually no big bad in the series that could take her one on one when she came to her full power.
You know, I can freely criticize whitewashing in this film, I dare say that no one will call me anti-white racist. But if I criticize blackwashing (just look at the infamous the little mermaid controversy), I swear people will be waiting like vultures to call me racist. I despise this hypocrisy and double standard. I like most of these white actors but why can't they have accurate race of actors for the role? It feels out of place.
I'm still astonished she's powerful enough to break entities out of the box that God puts them in. Woah 😮😱 I knew she was on another level, but that's some ballsy powerful witchcraft. I'd put her up against scarlet witch! No one in the Marvel universe can beat the one above all. Rowena did by opening God's little toy box. 😮 🤯
I just saw the entire series. Gosh. I love all the scenes. Diana was portrayed really well. I couldn't stop watching the show as soon as I discovered it. I wish there would be more. Her calmness in her battles were astonishing.
Was he the only Vampire that had psychic powers that manifested to manipulate physical objects? Siobhan is the only other example I can think of and her power is more like reality warping that may or may not be a thing. Every other power was done on a mental level regardless of the end result when I think about it...
In the book, this fight is the moment where you really understand that Geralt is really not a man one should be trifled with. When he unleashes his anger, even reading how methodic, cold, brutal he is, and how menacing he gets is revealed to you in such a way, you actually are shocked when Vilgefortz unceremoniously thrashes him First of all, this didn't happen in Melitele's Temple, because nobody can fight there This happened when Geralt, Philippa, Shani and Jaskier were investigating who the fuck Rience was and what was he after. Geralt first terrorised Rience's contact in Oxenfurt, he then awaited him to reveal himself, and the fight itself, and its aftermath is extremely well written. Seeing Geralt threatening Philippa with "I will mercilessly murder every single one of you in that wizards' conclave if I have to! I will never stop, I will never rest to keep Ciri out of your filthy schemes" sort of manner... Instead, this show gave us a nonsensical and badly executed generic fight
@@DevoutTerryologist yeah you know now that you say that, I thought about it and you're right in fact I will sort of you know be okay but just waiting for geralt
Rebecca Ferguson was phenomenal in this movie, and after the horrific scene with Jacob Tremblay, I took deep satisfaction any time Rose screamed in pain! I only hope that she later felt every bit of the pain that she inflicted on that poor kid. Needless to say, I enjoyed the gunfight scene. I just wish that Billy had fired one more round at that evil demon woman instead of killing himself. He and Dan could have had target practice together at The Overlook Hotel. No doubt in my mind, Rose would have had a big bullseye on her.
