Another great video, Derek. I do love the sound of a two-stroke triple. Your's is gorgeous and the Suzuki GT750 was nice too. I had a short ride on one in the 80's. What camera do you use? I'm thinking about getting one, but I don't have a clue about them, I'm better with bikes! By the way, are you going to the Stafford show next month? I'm going to both days, it's not worth coming from Scotland just for one day.
I use a GoPro Hero5 Session on my helmet. It's quite old, so has probably been superceded by now. Still works well - as long as you don't try to record in 2.7K or 4K! Not sure about the Stafford Show. Will decide nearer the time.
Hi Derek, I came over to the uk last week to visit my family, my son in law also has a lot of interesting cars and bikes (heavily influenced by myself and his father, naturally..) and we planned a visit to Gilks because there was an event and we were going to bring up some cool stuff, but it bucketed it down so I missed out on that. Have been there before but it was a while ago. We did manage to ride up to Caffeine and Machine one evening as we were trying out each others latest bike though so I did get to dip my toe in the pool of motor culture that is the best thing about the uk. He is also a RU-vidr, as is his best mate, Martins channel is called 'What's in the Workshop' and his mate Joe is 'The Würks'. Judging by your route, you aren't very far from The Würks, and Gijks isn't far from Martin. A bit of contact might bring you into more content subject matter. Stay safe, Derek
Nice to hear from you in Belgium! 😊 I haven't been to Caffeine & Machine since they started charging visitors at weekends 🙄 I'll check out Martin's and Joe's YT channels. Thanks for the tip.
Hi. My first visit to Gilk's and I apear in your video (stood in the corner, in dark glasses when the pearl tvr departs) Sadly you didn't get any footage of my bike, but never mind. Great video. Great little cafe and not over expensive as some people comment.
Glad you enjoyed the video! 👍 Were you on a Ducati? It's a great little cafe, though I do think it's a bit expensive, especially when compared to somewhere like the Long Itch Diner.
