Lets say that for hypothetical reasons we take the camo off and have it a neutral colour. If there is a way to make this cost effective it could serve as a disaster relief shelter. Where emergency supplies can be handed out like food and water. Pop up medical tent at any event too.

I can't imagine who would want this. Every time I deployed they had a raised floor. And it didn't take them that long to build them from scratch. If you are going to transport something this big and heavy you might as well just bring in trailers. Btw, most deployed locations usually end up with trailers anyway if they are going to stay there for any length of time. The tents are usually just for the first group coming in. The ones that will get the ball rolling. It has been awhile since I was in the military though, so maybe things have changed.

I won't say anything bad about this, I has possibilities as shelter, they never said it was for end of world sheltering, it would have great uses in UN, and Red Cross applications for disaster and refugee sheltering. just need the cost to lower.

Green houses for farming made like these would be great too with built in hydroponics and sun to water machines and temperature control systems. Hay emergency green houses to go with emergency shelters wow imagine that? ; )

A solar vacuum tube system would be nice to add to this has well used with pressure water vessels so folks could have a hot shower. -_-

I keep expecting clowns to run out. Is this the new cost saving, two man setup, circus tent? Getting serious now, I can see this being used once, then sitting for decades, until all the plastic tarps rot. The inflatable cement shelters would be better, stronger, durable, weather resistant.

I can't see how it would be practical in wartime. I could see it being useful at a festival but maybe lose the camo

With all the options, probably $50-$60 grand at least. Pentagon probably bought thousands of these & half will never be used. Our tax dollars at work.

The only thing that came to my mind as I saw it being deployed was a MASH unit. [mash] abbreviation for mobile army surgical hospital. The roof could be made more durable unless the existing material was a mixture of kevlar or something like that.

Expensive mechanical contraption just waiting to break stuck half open. Not at all practical - too heavy for humans to deploy or transport. In a disaster, where will the fuel for the delivery truck come from? Bad idea. Bad design
