The Aristocrat you show in this video is the 1948-50 (date code was added in 51). The 1947-48 versions have the smooth, not knurled, band near the head. It was in 1948 that the upper ring got knurling.

That's not 100% true. Lots of parts are interchanged on this era.

I like those! I have a '55 Diplomat (A1) new old stock/never used with a sealed pack of 10 Blue Blades and the instruction pamphlet. The $5.00 tag portion is missing from the cardboard insert. I just need to track down an outer box.

The Gillette Diplomat Razor set is far better looking than the other Gillette razor. Very attractive! 👌💈😀

Wow, very Nice Aristocrat and Diplomat. i have one Gillette Aristocrat also, but my case is worn, do you refurbish old cases, this one is not all metall. ? i have blade bank, not dispenser. :)

I have a gillete aristocrat razor set, and I'm trying to find out how rare it is. It has a busted container of shaving cream with it, and the box containing it all is in pretty poor condition, but I can't find these anywhere. Really hoping someone sees this and can help me out.

Can you watch my most recent video I bought a gold plated Open comb de safety razor at a flee market the box that came with it says aristocrat but it's not a tto open and no date codes.
