Nice shave. I think my dad had a fat boy. He passed when I was 15. Only started de shaving a couple years ago. Wish I had his razor. My younger son is getting me a shaving scuttle for Christmas. No cold lather this winter. Take care all.

Bravo Paul: Beautiful razor, very nice to have fixed up that '61 Fatboy. I passed your comments about flowers to Mrs. K, who by the way, always keeps flowers in the house. It is a treat and does brighten up our homes. Mrs. K and Mrs. H. are "drinking from the same straw." Of course, the reference to your dad when applying aftershave is a treat as well. Everyone seems to like the Barbus products. I look forward to tomorrow's shave. Perhaps, you will treat us all to a Christmas Eve shave as a "throw in" episode. Many thanks as always, I picked up a British 1980s Gillette Tech (made for British Army) and used during the Falkland Islands War. It was refurbished by Razor Emporium in Arizona. Another great shave Paul. The intro of your vídeos is original. Mrs H's flower display is her signature..and that is one of the aspects that makes your channel different to the rest.. Another aspect I like is the moment you tell us about the food You are going to cook...that part is awesome! I have learnt a lot about wet shaving with you this year. And I will go on next year....

I am glad that even such well-known artisans do not stand still and produce new products. Although they already have a huge assortment.) I'm sure they don't make the blades themselves, but most likely they order from the Personna plant in America, under their own brand. But in any case, this is a good product that will find its fans.🙂 Personally, I prefer the smell of Arko soap. For me, the smell of Derby soap is too harsh, intense. But there are no complaints about his work. Unless it dries the skin a little in Winter. Then I add glycerin to the lather. Music and bouquet are majestic as always. Good morning Paul!!!! Great choices for your mid week shave, and beautiful display by Mrs H!!! My SOTD will be the PAA Ascension Select with the PAA Stranglet blade, PAA Peregrino Brush, PAA Cube 2.0, PAA Cane soap and aftershave, with some unscented PAA Star Jelly to finish the shave. Meal of the day will be some Lamb Shanks and Jasmine rice, curried lentils, mushroom Demi glaze, grilled asparagus, and chop salad. Have a wonderful day and stay safe!!!

I don't usually get along with Chinese mfg blades, finding them inconsistent in comfort and durability, subjective of course. Glad these worked for you. SOTD: PAA Cube, Hub City Soap Co. "Red Cabin In The Woods" soap/splash, WCS "Infinity" synth brush, PAA "META-4" razor w/Wizamet blade, alum, witch hazel and AV 5in1 balm to finish...Outstanding. Great video and chat, thanks. Midweek greetings, Paul. I've kept the goatee as my aging skin agrees with it. Regardless, I still get a weeper and/or irritation on my neck, no matter if I use pre-shave, proper technique with the grain, etc. Oddly enough, I've found that two passes with a DE and a cleanup pass with a cartridge works for me. Who knew? See you for the Sunday shave.

Paul, any chance that you could pull out the Bluebeard's Revenge shaving cream in future shaves? I'm having some trouble with it as it keep dissipating. Is it a very thirsty cream? I'm thinking I might need more water next time.

Great shave, Paul! Those Turkish soaps are a fantastic value. I agree that the Derby has a slightly better scent than Arko. Does the blade packaging note a country of origin? Packaging looks like Russia or Czech Republic to me.

Good evening Paul! I love the white flower with the pine cones; thank you Mrs. H!! I am glad you get good usage out of your Gillette Fatboy. Mine sees occasional duty, but it can be a bit rough and the quality of the shave is very much dependent on the blade selected. I will end up with weeper all over my face if I choice unwisely. Speaking of blades; I want to try the PAA Strangelet blade...although I see they only come in 100 count packages. I know you gave a good opinion of them in the video, but is there any reason NOT to purchase them? Please email if your reply is private consumption only. SOTD: Muhle R95 Rocca razor load with a 1970 Personna 74 blade (3rd use). Stirling Executive Man shaving soap, face lathered with WCS Beacon synthetic brush. Finish with Thayer's AF SF skin toner and Stirling Executive Man aftershave. I was smooth and smelling like a million dollars. I see the Fatboy love bites on your neck...nothing closer then blood! All in all a nice shave Paul. Please take care.
