Hi DD. Good to hear from you. I've been testing an American single edge for the last few weeks. Quite a goodie to review. This weekend ...

As for open comb. No. Need to. I've also bought a cutthroat to try out at some point

I have the Proglide Power. It glides and feels better with the vibration on.

I tried the Power Glide and it is very very good. I wet my face with water and soap, let that stay on for about five minutes, then shave with a little gillette foam. The best shave I have ever have. Gillette should do a commercial with me, although so many ladies would only sigh that there is a special beast they can not hope to meet.

lol... ahy awesome, man.......... I have a tender face and neck skin and shaving with those blades from forty/fifty years ago, two days in a row was damn awful. it made my skin follicles bleed. These five blade shavers are so good.

Thanks for the comment. Yes, that's why they were invented. So easy to use. No nicks. No blades to deal with.

@@sharpshaves Greetings, I just trimmed the sides of my head with cheap imitation Gillette's, which are somewhat blunt, like a used Gillette.

The vibration definitely works and I Know how good it is when the battery runs out. I just can't shave without the vibrator

Hi - and thanks for the comment. Interesting that you think it does. I think it fools you into thinking it works. It is impossible to test objectively really because you cant hide the noise or vibration when it is on. I really tried to and am fairly sure there was no difference. Wonder what others think though? ...

Great to see you back, unfortunately not a razor for me, too many blades and as usual soaps and creams struggle with cartridge razors due to the awful lube strips. Cheers🍻🥃

Welcome back! Looking sharp as always! I am glad to hear your thoughts on this. Since my last comment, I have also picked up the power razor myself early this year. My opinion is exactly the same as yours, though it does feel less powerful compared to the Gillette Styler I previously used. Just to change things up, I recently found out about Gilette Lab's Exfoliating Razor and thought you might want to give that a try. They have two versions, one of which is heated, so I'm not sure how it would compare to heating up the razor with hot water. I would love to hear your thoughts on this.

Hi ! Thanks for the comment. I've actually reviewed the exfoliating and heated 'labs' razors. Take a look. One was great the other not so....

I totally agree with you on the specific categories of vibes. This comment alone makes you feel like you're shaving with an electric shaver, and it's very clever in terms of review, but it's not practical!

Yeah - it fools you into thinking it is doing something - but in reality it isn't ! Thanks for the comment

debatable if he vibrations does anything but if you do look at the blades there are vibrating/moving btw shaving soap you use really gunks up the razors with soap scum , dont get that with proraso and nivea tube soaps

@sharpshaves The power is more of a gimmick and it doesn’t make a difference just the noise which is annoying, reality is power is not necessary, I think it’s just a selling point to make it sound good. But I agree with you 100% it’s not a better shave. Cheers 😊

Cheers for the comment. Yep - I tried to be really objective in testing it - on and off and am fairly certain it does nothing to make the shave better. This also makes sense in that they don't make any claims to it being a better shave either. Just another gimmick that is designed to fool you into thinking it shaves closer. Thanks !

@@sharpshaves the shave isn’t closer with the power feature. The 2 best Gillette razors in my opinion are the proglide manual razor and the labs exfoliating

@@sharpshaves did try the heated razor and didn’t really like it, more of a gimmick. Have you tried any of the Gillette shave gels?
