I honestly didn’t like her in the beginning she was kind of a brat to Lorelei. She was much nicer to her in the later seasons and I think her character development was realistic and I quite liked it except for the fact that she became dependent
no, i mean i agree her personality in season 1 was the best but rory needed to face reality. everyone in stars hollow treated her like she was perfect, had no flaws and bc of that she couldn't even accept criticism as she grew up. like when she slept with dean and later fought on it with her mom it pissed me off how she was like "hes dean, my dean" like no he's not UR dean hes married... she grows up to become selfish thinking everythings about her bc of the way she was raised.

I loved Zack. Also why should lane have to go through a traumatic experience for no reason. She should have gone to college and joined a band. And continued to make music. Simple.
no it was not. lane only ended up with zack because dave left. lane deserved better than to end up with that guy. oh and her getting married & pregnant was so messy ??? i hated her storyline
Yeah, I do wish they'd resolved the sex issue within her marriage, and maybe had her tour or something, but that tiktok plot was awful and outside of Lane's character.

I know it's already been said but I'll say it again: that alternative Lane storyline is trash. T R A S H. Lane doesn't need to go through trauma and ruining her relationship with her mom to make her an interesting character. While I support a woman's right to choose, I don't think Lane would get an abortion. I dont think we should throw that extremely serious plotline at her unless it's in line with her character. I'd never put that on her just for ratings. Ideas for Lane they could've done instead: - Lorelai and Rory hear about her disastrous honeymoon and give her all their issues of Cosmo and Redbook with the "improve your sex life" articles bookmarked. Honestly if Lorelai wasn't scared of Mrs. Kim, she would've done that as a wedding gift. - Make her a music teacher, either something similar to Miss Patty or at Stars Hollow High. It's a perfectly respectable career to her mom, and Lane gets to share her passion with the new generation. - Have Lane and Zach have serious discussions on how often they and their children will go to church. Are they gonna be a "Every Sunday and Wednesday, plus week of church camp in the summer" kind of family, or are they "only show up for Easter and Christmas, and maybe youth group" kind of family? Have those discussions BEFORE they get married.
I didnt like the marriage between Lane and Zack. In fact, I dont like Zack. Hes adorable sure, but he's not ready for marriage, more so, parenthood. I wish that didn't happen, but love is love
Yeah, the extreme-ness of that storyline really wouldn't have fit in with the general feel of the drama, either. I also think it was more interesting of an arc for Lane to realize that Mrs. Kim did have an influence on how she viewed life, as well, and for it to play an actual role in the story. I do think they dropped the ball on fleshing out her story but I don't think what was there was the problem... more just what wasn't there.
Lane losing Dave was the biggest mistake gilmore girls made. I understand he went on to do a different show, but I would have even been cool if they brought in a new guitarist with the same feel as Dave. Zack was facking awful.
