Awesome tutorial! Its great to see how you merge all these effects together to make a photo that doesn't look cropped and just dropped in. I do wonder why you used a black transparency layer mask and a paint brush to delete the original background photo of the girl and didnt cut or free select her out of the image??? Also you were a little quick with menu changes and layer swaps which make it harder to follow as a noob but ultimately it was a very useful and detailed tutorial. Thanks

Hello there! I love your tutorials. I’d like to know if it’s possible to do a painterly look to a picture on gimp. I can’t currently use photoshop because I’ve got this very old Mac Mini so I’m trying to learn editing on gimp and darktable instead. Can u help me? Thnx in advance
