Beethoven Piano Sonata op. 53 C Major, (1st Mvt) Allegro con brio. Gina Bachauer's final recital-programme (at Caramoor Center for the Arts in NY) on 31 July 1976 included this "Waldstein-sonata" by Beethoven. - Since year 1951 she performed every year in New York and played several times with the NY Philharmonic at Carnegie Hall and at Lincoln Center's Symphony Hall (named later Avery Fisher Hall) since its opening 1962. Her last concert at the Avery Fisher Hall took place on 11 February 1976, only half a year before her untimely death on 22 August 1976.
