I believe that Gino was trying to consolidate the success that he had lost after the disagreements with Arista and had partially regained with Black cars. He and Joe were always attentive to new sounds but also to all the hits of the moment. They arranged their beautiful compositions by dressing them with trendy sounds. They had already done it with Living inside myself which, despite being wonderful in its own right, perhaps has some debt to After the love has gone by EWF. Similarly, Wild horses owes something to To be a lover by Billy Idol despite being the beautiful song that it is. In the name of money, more than Prince or the Jacksons it makes me think a lot of the sounds of Addicted to love by Robert Palmer especially for the horn and rhythm section. I really like the song, like almost all those of Gino and I think he deserved better luck. In any case Gino is a great artist!
