Hi - we were in Tokyo in November last year and took a lot of guidance from your videos! This video on Ginza (especially with the recommendation of the Seiko Museum and Nissan showroom) were also very helpful. Thank you so much!
Kenchan, you totally changed how I envisioned Ginza. Before I thought Ginza was a place only for high-end luxury brands. However, you showed me there are many household brand names that launch their flagship stores to exhibit all their goods and crafts! I will definitely take my family there next time and print all our faces on the coffee XD
Thank you. Ginza is easily misunderstood as high end brand shops are outstanding, but there are flagship stores of Japanese reasonable brands, show rooms of Japanese companies, and shops of different regions of Japan. I have those locations on the Google map in the description. :) I hope you and your family have a great time in Ginza!
Thank you for the video! There aren't many videos that show where Ginza actually is from Tokyo Station so your highlight of the maps really helps along with naming of the street! Definitely will add Ginza Six and Ginza Tokyu Plaza to my list when I visit Tokyo a few months later 🎉
Thank you for watching. Yes, it's not that far to walk from Yaesu exit of Tokyo station. I hope you enjoy the early summer days at the roof top gardens. :)
Great Ginza video.... I missed this one. I wish I had watched this before going to Japan. I am glad that you featured Yamaha Building. It is an amazing building for music lovers.
Thanks again Ken. My friend and I are actually staying in Ginza right now, and it is surely a magical place to be, especially at night. Also, to update you on our Shinjuku Goen visit yesterday, we really appreciate your video advice on reserving our tickets online for the weekend holidays. There were a lot of people waiting outside, but for those who already reserved their tickets, it was a breeze to get in. Thanks again. 🌸
Thank you so much for letting me know about the Shinjuku Gyoen. I was wondering how it went so I'm glad you could go in smoothly. I hope you enjoy the rest of your stay in Ginza. :)
Hello Albie san, thank you always. Yes, Ginza 6's garden is a nice spot to take a rest and overlook Ginza area. Wow, so nice you are staying at Muji Hotel! I've been always curious how it is. :)
Thank you Kengo san! Such an informative and fun video. I'm going to Tokyo for the first time in 3 weeks and will definitely visit Ginza and all the places you recommend!
Nice video. I love the very quick but informative history lesson at the start. The "tip" about that Nissan Cafe which prints your face on the coffee is also nice. Hope you have more of this "hidden" spots in your future videos.
@@tokyokenchan thanks kenchan I did enjoy myself. Thanks to your video I went up to ginza 6 and bought some cakes for take away from cosy corner when I was walking back to my hotel in shintomicho area from ginza
@@tokyokenchan yes we will be in Tokyo today. Your channel has helped me plan the family holiday. I think you should do a video on where to buy comfortable shoes because you do so much walk hahah
I studied in Japan/ Lived in Tokyo and Fukuoka. Now my daughter is studying at Kyushu University. I hope I will have an opportunity to visit JAPAN again. I love Japan!
Great video Samurai. Ginza, Tokyo very nice but looks similar to Paris and others from around the 🌎 Some need the real Japan where most foreigners never go. Real Japanese food, culture, public transportation and the local people.
Thank you for your videos. Really appreciate your clear explanation. May I know if there are English signages for streets in Tokyo? Are these signages clearly seen as we walk along the streets? If not, how do we recognise the streets? Thanks.
There is no right transportation to move from 8 to 1. Only taxi. You might be able to take Ginza line from Shinbashi (near 8) to Kyobashi (1), but it can be faster to walk depends on the location. :)
Hi. Thank you for watching. You can find the map here. www.google.com/maps/d/u/0/viewer?entry=yt&mid=15aYRbf5Wbd-JTOMmk7ZLEgFCHkPq2tE&ll=35.67122080640138%2C139.76475759999997&z=17
Thank you so much for this video guide, Ken-san. It's helping me plan some of the side trips. My family has a trip planned in just 2 weeks and we're staying in Japan for over a month. It's going to be my second time visiting Japan and I'm so excited! I'll be sure to watch your other videos for the areas we're gonna be in.
Thank you for watching and leaving your kind comment. That's great you are staying here over a month! I hope you and your family have a great trip in Japan.
hello tkenchan, the summer olympics 2020 had a change in visitors able to find stores closer to their places. seeing many more designer names even new york's macy's michael kors is an important purse with a bigger sign. there were no ads in the local here for them. thank you for the health meal of cold serve soba with fried vegs. is there different filter coffeeshops - similar boiling the water in beaker - near soho (they closed) - hiroko's did they return there. thank you gain. elle for guidance
Hello Ken-chan. I was over in Ginza the other day. It is a high end shopping area, though I did not think Ginza is any different from other ritzy areas in other cities in the world. Tourist will not come away with any particular authentic Japanese experience. Much less, unless you are wealthy, there are not many options for reasonably priced places to eat or shop. Of course, some people might enjoy spending money on items that can be procured in their own country. I would place Ginza far down on the list of places to go in Tokyo. With love.
