When I was eleven years old, I heard this album for the first time on a big black vinyl record on a Woodstock Stereo !!! Now that I look back, it was way ahead of its time and Giorgio had produced a sound which is relevant till date although he didn't have access to modern synthesisers, drum machines, vocoders, mixing softwares et al !!! In fact, working in his studio which was probably better than anything which even NASA had then, he invented/perfected many of these ... Respect to THE MAN !!
Finally I could locate this amazing music number...after nearly three decades of my first time hearing...I went on a hunting spree for this number and kept at it till I discovered this upload..its just AMAZING particularly the music that trajects from a very narrow pitch to a wider one.."A must hear". Thanks Neeharika
I have been listening to this LP for more than 40 years but never got tired of listening - good recording but if the whole lp is uploaded it will have more effect on listeners
I first heard this record at a open cafe during 70 s , later when read more about giorgio moroder became his fan, music rendered for so many singers including donna summers, Sun set people is another legendary track , I love music of giorgio moroder even now with same taste
How innovative this was in 1977, how different from what people were dancing to even a few years before, assuming they were dancing at all; and how the 70s had finally acquired its own distinctive style in just about everything - yet when Saturday Night Fever came out at the end of the year, it was kind of regressive, disco, fashion, and style had already moved beyond it. Of course mainstream America thought it was great; communication was primitive compared to today and many people had no reference point for it.
