​@@acej08 Guillermo del Toro didn't aim to make a "all action, no plot" film, you want that, go ask Michael bay and Roland Emmerich. Pacific rim is actually one of the few pieces of kaiju media in the 2010s to actually have you enjoy your cake (story) and eat it too (action).

@@BL3H- The older models (white suit) took a while before disconnecting the drift, he did feel what his brother felt. He even talks about it later in the movie.

The jaegers are non sentient mechs, they got no gender, they're call female pronouns same way ships or cars or any vehicles are always called by female pronouns for some reason.

Crimson Typhoon was out at sea, so, while the toxic blood would harm the environment, no massive loss of human life would occur. Considering how CT has 7 Kaiju kills prior to Otachi destroying it, it's likely that most of those fights happened in the sea, allowing for these efficient if messy kills. There's also a possibility that they use the plasmacaster or whatever it is called after killing to Kaiju to cauterize the wounds in post, before the body can start to properly decompose, meaning the toxic Kaiju Blue doesn't really take to the air, and any blood in the ocean is hopefully diluted.

@@Sassaparilla yeah. I know about the cauterizering but wouldnt the surrounding water be contaminated and washed on land. Altought cauterizering gould midicate this after the Kaiju is killed.

@@winstonlewis5630 current Hong Kong does. We have little knowledge on the extent of the damages the world has gone through. Additionally, the worldwide joint effort to fend off the Kaiju threat would likely bring more support to any location suffering. After all, the group who funds the Jaegers and coordinates them is grounded in Germany. It is ridiculous to assume that the death of a single Kaiju would be enough to make the entire sea surrounding it inhospitable. Especially considering it isn't that clearly explained how Kaiju Blue affects ocean environments, as it is notably, most dangerous as an airborne pollutant. The vastness of the ocean is likely enough to dilute it, as I said before, especially because it is a biological pollutant in nature. Considering there still seems to be a live populace in Hong Kong, I'd say the damage Kaijus have had on food hasn't been much of an issue.

@@Littlekoji-df1cf washed on land is iffy at best. You're assuming alot on how far it can spread in the water without becoming safe to handle, that there's no group that specializes in cleanup (which we see in the movies anyways), and if the contaminant is even live in the water. They're amphibious for a reason. So they can go on land, and if they do die, their corpse would kill all humans in the vicinity by creating an environment where the air is toxic. If they really wanted to kill everything, they could easily have wiped out life in the oceans first, and that ecosystem collapsing would eventually cause the death of mankind.

The Transformers Combiners Tyrpticon and Metroplex would like to have a word with ya cuz I love me Pacific Rim I really do but Transformers have so of the biggest heaviest hitting bots i have seen
