Is perfection really so important that it's worth losing family over it?
Kousei Arima is a child prodigy known for playing the piano with perfection
Guided by a strict mother and rigorous training
Kousei dominates every competition he enters.
When his mother passes away,
The trauma makes him unable to hear the sound of the piano
And never takes the stage afterward.
Nowadays Kousei lives a quiet life as a junior highschool student
While struggling to get over his mothers death
He continues to still write music.
But his life turns upside down when he encounters
An eccentric violinist Kaori

@@sen_k0 I cried for Kaori, for flashbacks or Kousie's abusive past, for Kousie's mother (in love-hate way), for Watari cuz he really liked Kaori and realised what was going on but never said anything. He actually supported them, he is a nice guy. I cried the most for Tsubaki. The part where she starts crying about Kousie going away...I cried watching it the most. I also cried at the end bc even when Tsubaki had won, she had actually lost. It was a lose for everyone, in a tragic way.

@@sumrinfarooq5678 on the beginning Kousei had closed mind on everyone except his mother. When he met Kaori, and she helped him, his mind opened, but his eyes closed on Kaori. Her death was only thing that released him from obsession with particular people. Her death let him see his own value, let him live his own life. Im sure Tsubaki will help him in hard moment after Kaori's death. When the suffering ends, he will start to see that Tsubaki really love him. He will be happy living with her, remembering Kaori.

There are no words to explain how beautiful the story for this anime was you experience everything while watching this anime you smile, you laugh, you feel sad, you cry your heart out.. Just everything. You must give it a watch.... Spoiler: The best part for me was at the end when at the railway crossroad (or whatever the term is used for it) the black cat appears and at the instance Kosei says "Spring is coming, The Spring I met you in is coming, A spring without you is coming. " and then the scene changes to a photo of them that was the most beautiful part for me...Ahh just a heart wrenching moment...

What made me really cry about her passing is a that when a artist dies all her dreams ,ambitions, endless and sleepless nights of hard word, her passion dies with her. The ova is where I lost it. Completely. How she just ran to her mother and with twinkling eyes told her mom about her dreams, and how she admired the protagonist from such a young age. The fact that she always had her eyes on the guy made me bawl. She had a beautiful dream that she’ll never have , he was a part of her dreams that she could never attain.

I knew it was coming. The signs were there. I told myself I was ready. I steeled myself in anticipation. It. Didn't. Fucking. Matter. I still cried. Totally lost control. 10/10 would absolutely watch again. Also, everyone only ever talks about how sad and beautiful this anime is. But man the music is superb, and the actual animation of their playing is really good. Correct keys/fingerings. Bow strokes. It's just super high quality across the board.

I tried to deny it until the very end, even with all the foreshadowing. Every dramatic moment of Kaori's declining health took a hit to my heart, and the final episode made me lose it.
