I love Girl Happy! My favorite part is when he's juggling the two girls in his room - the part with the champagne is hilarious! I've always wondered why he wears long sleeves the entire duration of a beach movie though lol.
Hi Michelle, I love 😍 love 😍 love 😍 girl happy so much. It's the first Elvis movie I watched when I was a kid. It made me fall in love 😍 with Elvis there and then ha ha. It brings back lots of happy 😊 memories. Thank you hun, great video. Going to watch the interviews now xxx 💝
@@susyq810 hi Susy, so lovely 😍 to hear from you. Yes my favourite Elvis movie because of all the happy 😊 memories when I was growing up. Love the songs and a real feel good movie. Love 😍 to hear from you Susy ♥ my bestie xxx 💝
I love Girl Happy watch it all the time I have it on dvd. The backward jailbreak is classic 😂 no one else could have pulled off those movies and songs and made them work. Any other actor even today would have bombed at the box office critics and everyone else always criticized poor Elvis on his movies. But they never see that he always made money regardless and if anyone else would have attempted to make one of those movies no way could they pull it off. Elvis made everyone that was with him in the movie shine also he brought out the good in almost everyone.
Hi Michelle, Such a fun movie!! another favourite of mine😊❤️I honestly don’t understand how some of Elvis female co stars didn’t enjoy working with him. Thanks for this fun movie review love😊xx have a great Elvis day too❤️
Great Elvis movie. Awesome songs. Beautiful women. Shelly fabares and Mary Ann Mobley did a fantastic job. I like when Elvis sings to Mary Ann Mobley in the woods and sings CROSS MY HEART AND HOPE TO DIE. Elvis sings to Shelley fabares A PUPPET ON A STRING. super cool movie. Another awesome video michelle
...how about "HARUM SCARUM / HAREM HOLIDAY" Delores?!... Only kiddin'...i like GIRL HAPPY...but "Harum" is so special, what a cheap movie; this is my all time favorite ...i love it!
Fantastic, fun lovein feel good movie, Michelle. I can't help but think about 18/ 30 holidays when I watch this, fun fun fun and lots of it, haha, add Elvis into the mix and say no more . It was a typical Elvis movie no doubt that , but thats what us viewers wanted, as long as Elvis was in them, we'd watch them . It was said Elvis himself enjoyed filming this, not because of it'd script nor the songs, but because he realky enjoyed working alongside Shelley, she was his favorute ever co-star and dear friend. What I never fail to see is that no matter how many ladies clamour for the character he,s playing, he always hones in on the one girl he wants, normally the one you wouldnt think he., d becatrracted to, But it was said in real life he was always interested in more than just visible beauty, a very wise man. I saw the interview you were referring to Michelle, and I'd go so far as to 99% of the leading ladies have nothing but the utmost respect and admiration for him, and all have attested to him being ever the professional and a true gent, they can't all be wrong, you'll always get one of course to disagree. You've enjoyed that Michelle, now I,d like to know why Elvis is lying on your bed, , hmmm .
YES! I love this MGM Movie...it IS very FUNNY and ...the first time Larry Geller cut/styled his hair and it looks very good for sure imo...! The Original RCA-Soundtrack-Album is a little bit different...ELVIS' Voice was "speeded up" on some of the Songs (GIRL HAPPY; DO THE CLAM etc...)...incredible, don't you think so?! Michelle; thx for the Trailer...old times and nice movies are not forgotten!
OMG Michelle I can't believe you remembered about Spring Fever so Cool..... and guess what it is now stuck in my head lol 🤣🤣🤣 My favourite movie was so looking forward to you getting to this one and as I suspected you did it justice love this film its my absolute best ( You made my day 😁) ....... Get up get out spring is everywhere 🎶🎶🎶 🤩🤩Xx
Love Girl Happy. It’s my top 3 with Tickle Me and Live a little Love a little. I also admire King Creole & Wild in the Country. Thanks for this today. Not sure how I missed this a month ago. But here it is now!
I was seven years old when this movie came out, but didn't see it in the movie theater; my mother and sister did, though- we lived in New Rochelle, New York at the time and they went to the local RKO Proctors theater to see it. I remember asking my mother who she was seeing, and she laughed a little and said, "The fighter!" (because he fights in almost all of his movies).
@@ElvisLass35 You're very welcome! This is a story I always love to share and it's definitely one of my most fondest memories as a child: Spring, 1963. I was four at the time. My family and I were in New Rochelle, New York and lived in a three-story six family apartment house (we lived on the second floor, the apartment at left when facing the building), I was in the backyard, and on someone's radio the song "Return to Sender" played: it was the first time I'd heard Elvis' voice and I was immediately drawn to it. I've been an Elvis fan since. He's a role model to me. I'd like to share two more memorable stories later on.
Hi Michelle, I've just watched the interview with the 4 ladies. I'm not very happy about what Stella Stevens had to say. She made him out to be some kind of drug taking alcohol. I've read and heard in interviews that Elvis didn't drink and that was coming from Joe Espasito. (sorry about the spelling) Mary Ann Mobley really stood up for Elvis. Nancy Sinatra was also kind. Infact 3 of the women were really positive about Elvis. Only Stella Stevens was less polite. Maybe sour grapes ha ha Thanks Michelle xxx 💝
@@margarettaylor8107 hi Margaret, like I said to Michelle, Elvis didn't drink and to say "girls girls girls" should have been called "pills pills pills" what a disgusting thing to say about our Elvis. I think you are right Margaret, he probably ignored her advances. Take care Margaret xxx 💝
@@karentranter7806 There are so many who try to tie lies to Elvis. What is sad, most fans do not bother to discern the truth or even defend such a sweet kind man.
@@margarettaylor8107 I agree 👍 Margaret. When I have stood up to Elvis haters they just keep hurting me back on line. Atleast true fans like you and I know what the truth is and we will all ways love him. Thanks Margaret xxx 💝
