Love the excitement. That is so true. So many people focus on length retention and not on exploring the beauty of their hair. Some persons will never have long hair no matter what they do. So what, rock that short hair. Find ways to bring out the true beauty of your hair. All hair types are beautiful. Ladies, embrace your hair. If it does grow to the length you want, it's ok. Ok?💕💕💕🤗
@@JennJackson I watch all of your videos anyway because I appreciate your content, sometimes I just fast forward the intros if they are too long. You do you. Other people may need that intro, I just really appreciate getting right into the vids. Oh, and it’s not just you…I’m like that with all videos…
Wow i did not realize 4c hair could be so curly! i feel like since the detox your curls have been more defined which is so interesting bc the products we use are normally what is supposed to define them 😂😭
Your hair came out beautiful! I am loving this series! I have been trying this method too. I am about a month in and I really like. Thank you for what you said about enjoying our hair. My hair had become a chore and it caused me to be in braids for six months. But, I tried this and now I love doing my hair again. Simple is wonderful. 😊🤩
Sis your hair is giving me life. Just gorgeous!!! Yes, this simple way of life is so nice. Shampoo, condition, style, yasss!!!! Love how happy you seem.
Im definitely trying this mousse!Maybe try leaving about two inches of the ends unbraided and then rod that section for more defined curls and easier unraveling. It helps my twist out bangs look really cute after fluffing! TFS😍
Hey Jen!!! love it and your hair came out so cute. i've doing the 30 hair detox for about 8 months now, i also have 4c, and i just wanted to let you know i still work in sections. I dont think its an inherent part of the challenge to not work in sections. Even when i go to my natural hair stylist she works in sections low-key. So i think its ok to go back to sections :)
My main problem with braid outs and sometimes twist outs is that they look exactly like what my mom would call "rough". It makes it really hard to see these strands as a nice style rather than taking down braids without combing them out. It feels unfinished like I skipped 2 steps.
That’s @ALove4Me motto: “Cleanse, Condition, Coat” - and I love that! Being extra with our hair is a choice not a necessity. K.I.S.S. (Keep it simple Sis 😉) P.S. your hair looks gorgeous!! 😍
The definition, sis! Please try Kinky curly gel and leave in. I wanna start the detox next month and those products ain't available in my country. So please try kinky curly for me 🥺
Love the hair girl! Thank you for sharing your reviews on this amazing product 🙂 can you please please please do video tutorials on your make up looks please ! It's on point like all your hair tutorials 😀
Funny I picked The Doux up last night and tried it this morning doing a wash and go and I don't think I will ever use anything else. It truly was a one step product. My hair dried fast and came out perfect. It was fluffy and to me elongated for first day hair. I loved that it dried within the hour with no flakes. I wonder if I styled my hair like yours if it will indeed flake since there was a lot of manipulation when undoing the braids. You look absolutely stunning dear.
That braid and curl is giving sis!!🥰 🤣 🤣 I'm thinking if you have a little flaking maybe pull back one pump or so on the Doux. This girl has no patience for braid or twist-outs.
Jenn, I'd love to see you use the mousse on dry hair for a twist/braid/bantu knot out. My hair is similar to yours but I think mine looks much fuller when styled dry....Or is that not allowed?👀
It's allowed. I've been meaning to try that since my hair is really fine and I need the volume but I've gotten used to stepping out of the shower with my hair already styled
My daughter says this mousse is excellent for her natural hair. Jenn has your hair density changed and are your strands the same? I'm loving this style! 🥰
After you washed and conditioned your hair, did you add anything else like leave in conditioner to your hair? I’ve been doing twist out since that’s the only thing I finally got good at to do my own hair lol
Im really enjoying watching you doing the no oil no butter experience. Maybe ive missed it in your wash n go series, but why cant you wash your hair into sections? Does it really change anything? Nice video like always 👌🏾👌🏾👌🏾 @jenn jackson
I’ve been using Uncle Funky’s Daughter for about 3 years now and FYI: it does not play well with everything. That’s probably why it flakes. I always do the test in my hands because we can’t be bothered with flakes over here. Your hair turned out beautifully.
@@JennJackson I heard about that yesterday. I recently purchased one from Amazon but have not used it yet… I just checked the ingredients and they are the same except the old one I have in the 32 oz size has (“Tocopherol” vitamin E) the new one in an 18 oz bottle only says vitamin E. I don’t know if a different vitamin E was used. It appears what I have is the same. The directions are the same.
Jenn girl your hair looks great! You give me inspiration to keep my natural hair and rock it. I haven’t tried the no oil or butters yet, coz my hair is super kinky i need all the help I can get 🤣
I tried a roller set last week with the doux and I wasn't impressed. I didn't know about all the hype and only got it because Design Essentials was sold out. Well the first day it looked amazing except for that one patch on my temple with a different texture and frizzes easily. Next day, it felt sticky, dry but not brittle at least but definitely didn't hold up after day three. How did it hold up for you?
It didn’t hold up either but granted I didn’t “try” to hold the style. I also felt it didn’t keep my hair as “moisturized” the entire week. I haven’t tried the design essential one so I can’t compare
I have also been experiencing less flaking with no oils and butters. As soon as I got braids & the girl used oil, The big flakes came back. Now that I’ve taken them out, I’m just going to do my own braids moving forward.
@@crystaljackson240 I wash my hair condition then section and in smaller sections layer the doux mouse then Uncle Funky gel on top rake with my fingers then set under the dryer.
I did not like Doux on my 4c hair. Everybody raves about how good it is but it dries my hair out. My stylist tried a wash n go on my hair with it and it was a mess. It was hard and dry 😩 I even tried a perm rod set with it too...a fluffy mess. Gel is the only thing that works on my perm rod sets unfortunately
i missing my hair literally...i have been in along term protective style like for forever and i just miss my strand😭😭😭 but working or dealing with 4c hair while wearing hijab it just not working💔
Your hair is really cute..I've been watching you and Latoya do the detox and she said one of the detox ladies said you could pre-poo...🤷🏿♀️ If you still wanted to section before washing!
I'm ❤ it. You look so 😍. The Doux is on sale at Sally's and I am heading there tomorrow. I'm going to try this hairstyle on my grandson hair. I noticed when I use oils in his hair around the edges he get little pimples. At 6 years old, he shouldn't be having pimples. 🤣 Love it!
