Greg: "Some little girl stole my swim trunks. I have no clue on where she's taking them." (At the pawn shop) Loan Dolphin: "Oh no no no, it's going to cost you way more than your glasses to get your alarm clock back." (The customer leaves. The little girl enters the pawn shop) Little Girl: "Do you run a pawn shop?" Loan Dolphin: "Sure I do. Are you looking to sell or trade? I have some cool stuff to trade. I have a broken ukulele, a Nintendo 3DS, a copy of Wheel Of Fortune for the Wii, a Mr. Potato Head mouth (that's really hard to find), and a copy of Wii Sports Club for the Nintendo WiiU." This movie was so good, too bad all the actors grew up so they can't make more movies with this cast

How is this popping in my recommended when it was released 7 years ago and I haven’t seen any of these films for like 4 years?

and THAT is one of those moments you hav your chance to connect with someone: Instead of hiding away, lying and trying to escape the situation, turn it to your advantage. She just asked him to hang out, then he should answer that he'd love to, but he should be honest and say he need her help. Why reveal that he is in an embarissing situation: His guard is down, he is vonerable, he has literally nothing to hide. SHE is the one in power of the situation. IF she likes him, she would feel sorry for him and help him. After, the icecream moment would be so much more fun, because they would have a moment together they won't forget: They helped each other out. Breaking down your walls, working together and helping each other is the best way to connect with someone, (problemsloving) But people usually don't dare to make themselves vonerable, and therefore have problems to connect. If you want a good first get-together: Solve something together, specially something personal. Doesn't need to be big, but just enough so it seems like the other person cares for you.
