The things that most annoyed me about the whole triangle storyline were: 1) Riley and Maya not thinking about Lucas's feelings, and acting like this was all about them; 2) No one even MENTIONING Josh to Maya; 3) Even after Upstate, when Maya finally realized and accepted that Lucas was inevitably going to choose Riley (which I think was the writers' way of signaling who Lucas was ultimately going to choose (though I also thought Lucas himself dropped hint after hint after hint clearly indicating his preference for Riley)), they STILL drug it out for several more episodes, until Ski Lodge.
We all know that if lucas chose maya, riley would get hurt and stop being Maya's best friend and Lucas's and possibly throw tantrums over why he should have chosen her. That's why lucas chose riley
The only choice Lucas could make was Riley though. Before Maya and Lucas could get a real chance, Riley and Lucas had to be resolved first and for her to discover that she only loves the ideal version of him she perceives. Also Lucas made a lot more meaningful comments about Maya than Riley when debating on who to choose. He likes Riley because of destiny/fate, but he likes Maya for who she is.
Why would anyone mention josh to Maya when it doesn’t matter. Maya told Lucas to choose Riley. Lucas did not choose her The episodes are aired out of order
I will freely admit that I like Lucas and Riley together (though to be honest there are times I simply don’t like Riley) but the thing I like about this that shows their connection is the part with the “one word for each card.” And Riley just smiles and mentions it while maya is annoyed and asking “why did he do that!?” And Riley just replied “emphasis!” Not only does she get what Lucas was doing she loves it even though it’s dorky and unnecessary.
I thought it was a nice moment for both of the girls. When Maya repeated ‘why did he do that’ for the second time, she paused a little between each word for emphasis. Shows Riley gets his character and even though Maya doesn’t get him quite as well or find it as adorable, she’s a lot like him.
I like Maya's. And honestly guys just get it over with. Lucas and Riley, Farkle and Smackle, and either Maya and Josh or Maya and Zay. I haven't decided on that last one yet
If riley is a little bit more of topanga rather than all cory, she would've said something like, "be a man and choose, i cant do this forever" with topanga's authentic way of talking
You rucas fans find the simplest things to look on. She said she knew this because she knew what was at stake, like everyone else. But all rucas moments are small so....

tbh reply if you think the director will distract us with events and triangles when behind all of it was always rucas and they each realise that it will be a bumpy road to get there but hold on because rucas was always meant to be the rest was a distraction of entertainment
Why is there even a love triangle? Lucas never hinted or even showed signs of him liking Maya. Once she confessed her feelings, he’s all of a sudden confused about who he wants?? What? That don’t make sense. Also, I’d be hella pissed if I was Riley. Maya is the one who helped Riley get to Lucas and she was the one pushing for them to be together when in reality she liked Lucas.
OMG YEAH THAT'S ALWAYS WHAT I THOUGHT. He never even hinted he liked Maya so what was he confused about??? I understand not wanting to hurt her but giving her hopes when there wasn't even a chance to begin with??
rucas is better. Maya needs to just get over him and deal with it. its always been. Riley..however Lucas shouldn't have to choose over a two girls, making them look like dogs.

We all know he liked Maya the whole time but Riley was the only one who gave him that kind of attention. So he gravitated to Riley but then when Maya finally came out about her feelings he was fumbled.

I can relate to this a lot cause my bestfriend and I liked the same guy A LOT, but then again we didn't make a big deal out of it. We both accepted that we both liked him and kept it to ourselves so there wouldn't be any jealousy or conflict between us. I ended up giving him up for her though and the two only lasted for a little bit. Sure i was jealous at times but I didn't let it really get to me and eventually after time I moved on.
That's the way to do it. I had a crush I worked with. He ended up dating another coworker and although jealous we continued our friendship. I just oretended like there were no feelings so we could continue our friendship. To this day I still miss those coworkers and people.
Honestly Maya knew what she was doing through the all the seasons. She has to make everything about her family issues. Maya is not a good friend in my opinion.
This whole thing was so stupid. Watching it again after all these years and watching again Boy meets world made me realize something. For me Maya and Riley are not like Shawn and Cory there more like eric and jack. The whole love triangle Thing was weird. And in Girls meet world we see that jack and Eric lose contact after all those years and also jack lost the contact to Rachel but Eric still has contact to her. .
Lucaya is just so new, I don't understand it. Riley and Lucas have always been together and then Maya's just like: "Hey! I like him too! Why don't we make a triangle that will last for at least 20 episodes and then Lucas will probably find someone else and so will we! Yay!" I just don't get it and it bothers me :l
I don't think Maya's being a good friend to Riley. Riley liked Lucas first. And Lucas likes Riley. Why can't the writers just put Maya with Josh and let Riley be with Lucas?? They put Cory and Topanga together in Boy Meets World. The show isn't about Maya. It's about Riley. Forget Farkle and all the other side characters. Focus on Riley and Lucas. Rucas 4Ever!!
It would be a pretty boring show if it was just about Riley and Lucas. Even if there are other characters involved, Riley and Lucas are very dull with no chemistry whatsoever.

Maya actually saw Lucas first and she pushed Riley even though she liked him and kept it for all these years that what best friend do on the other hand I feel Lucas and Maya are opposites and opposites attract they bring out the best in each other Ying yang . I honestly don't understand why all the girls always choose lucas. I mean, even smackle flirts with lucas although it's just her way of protecting herself if farkle doesn't really like her. I mean, farkle was always there for them. He let maya rest her head on his shoulder in Texas part 2 and he gave his money to maya and changed her room to be like maya's. And he comforts Riley in Texas Part 3, He's the only person who believes in her and encourages everyone to let her do what she wants in the Cheerleading Trials, and it's him who pushes her to raise her level in Spanish class while Lucas calls her a loser. While lucas is just a face I mean no offense to lucas fans but lucas didn't get any character development or storyline and we know nothing about his family heritage
Guys lucaya is endgame and here is why. In the episode girl meets semi formal we are introduced to that one guy that was supposed to do something to Eric. Eric brings him to the semi formal to go to an easier time. In this episode of Isley goes up to her dad at the dance and asks him what to do about Charlie and Lucas. (She lied and said she had to stay home and couldn't go.) Eric's friend answers and says that in school there was a girl,who liked Eric and him. She thought of Eric who LOOKS LIKE LUCAS as a BROTHERRRR!!! And thought of the other guy who looks like Charlie as a boyfriend. Eric and the girl stayed friends while the friend and the girl did not. Now this scene predicted that Charlie and Riley would end up together for a SMALL amount of time. But they won't stay friends. It also predicted that Riley thought of Lucas as a brother which Maya and Riley both realized. I think that even thought Riley still likes Lucas more than a brother I feel like it's going to end as her think

I think Rucas is endgame ( everyone is entitled to their own opinion ) because when Maya like Lucas it was because Maya felt like a part of her was Riley and that she wanted to be like Riley for a while thus her liking Lucas. If you haven't watch Girl Meets Ski Lodge Part 2 then there will be spoilers ahead. In Girl Meets Ski Lodge Part 2 Lucas chose Riley. Lucas brings up a point how Riley is different from Maya. In Girl Meets New Years and along all the episodes Lucas and Maya are together Lucas can't help but be fixated on the fact that Riley was with Charlie and Maya noticed that. While Maya was trying to find herself she eventually did and Lucas didn't approve of her doing dangerous things thus starting drama. I ship more of Josh and Maya. There will be drama along the way but I feel like they will be endgame. If something pops up I'll try and comment again. BYEEE #Rucas 🔥✨😊

Those are stupid reasons. Maya met him first, and just because it's about Riley doesn't mean anything if anything it would be good to have the main character have closeup heartbreak and there's Farkle too
this is STRESSING ME OUT! Like I want Rucas to happen SO BADDDDD but I know in the end Lucaya will probably be endgame. in my opinion, in movies and books, the person picks the passion (Maya) over the obvious (Riley) a lot of people have like huge complicated theories but I think it's as easy as that... just my thoughts.
I feel like this is going to be heart breaking because a lot of use are hoping for Rucas Like me but is so obvious that lucaya is going to happened . I hope uncle josh appear in this season before something happens between the triangle.
