As a black woman who was adopted and faced a lot adversity because of unhealthy generational cycles, I truly admired Kevin Samuels. These women have clearly never listened to the whole 2-3 hours of his episodes. If so they’d be praising him for dissecting The Birth of a Nation, exposing us to Sister Shahrazad Ali, and encouraging us to make sure we have enough money for retirement. Kevin’s purpose was to make more black marriages and have kids raised in 2 parent households. When unrealistic women called in to his show for dating advice, he was honest with them. Back in the day they used to call it “dating out of your league” but now it’s called misogyny. Giving those unrealistic women advice was minimal compared to the life changing words he spoke to men and women. I will miss him affectionately calling us his nieces and nephews and his excitement to change our community for the better. Kevin left a legacy and will always be remembered as our “Godfather”.
Just because you loved him doesn't mean we have to. To literally say its impossible to not like him is kinda nuts. I've watched alot of his videos. Straight garbage to me.

I loved KS. The problem is people don't like hearing an honest perspective that is straightforward and doesn't stroke their ago. He said so much that men felt and wanted to say, but wouldn't say. In the essence of it all, his message is you have to become the best version of yourself to get what you want, and you still may not get it. You aren't entitled to anything and your presence alone doesn't make you a prize. He has critiqued men, and women, not only black women. People love to make EVERYTHING about race.

This man helped me understand how important and beneficial it is to have a wife. (And how to choose one) . In 3 years of marriage we’ve saved 32,000. We’re on par to retire early and comfortably. Kevin’s message literally changed how I viewed marriage.

Even the women in this interview could not pinpoint a *single* talking point of Kevin Samuels' that could be refuted, and a couple even conceded that they agreed with certain points. The fact is, Kevin Samuels committed no crime or tangible wrongdoing against any of his detractors, yet many of these people have taken glee in celebrating the early demise of a man who ultimately tried to help people. This is sad and pathetic. Kevin Samuels helped me step up, he was just very direct and forward and as he should be. I get tired of the too politically correct approach to simple things like relationships. Opinions are like a-holes, everyone has one. In a personal situation your opinion may matter but on a large scale it is not really necessary. The women that called personally desired his opinion. Those observing do not always weigh his opinions the same. He is like the movie critic of relationships. I may occasionally read reviews to fet information about the movie but in the end, want to develop my own opinion.
Personally, I’ve never cared for movies or books concerning slavery, and some of the suffering we went through during the civil rights era. But that doesn’t make it any less valid, nor should it be delivered in any other fashion than being factual…. That being said, women really need to get out of their feelings about Kevin Samuels delivery and focus on what the intent and goals were. You’ll listen to it from anyone else and be fine with it. I'm getting married in a couple of weeks because of Kevin Samuel's. He was and is the truth and people can't handle it! I'm not delusional and I appreciate my man! Kevin taught me how to do that. I respect and love men, and yes they are the prize! I'm thankful that I came across Kevin because I didn't have a father figure to teach me this. Speaking over women is not patient. He made himself look bad when he advocated for domestic violence, told a woman not to believe her daughter if the daughter said HE was looking at her coming out of the shower, when he said a woman should not go out after 5pm if she not willing to have sex.

I didn't always agree with Kevin Samuels's delivery but for the women celebrating his death is just mean-spirited. I am glad that he didn't give people what they wanted. There are far too many people in the world with inaccurate evaluations of themselves and he used his platform to help them see the truth. People need reality checks every once in a while. There was only one person on this panel that made sense to me.

My question to women who don't like what he was saying is "what did he say about black women that wasn't generally true???? 🤔 We (black men) love our women yet we (black men) are generally not given that same love back when it comes to what we (black men) want from our women. We have been loyal to black women to a fault. Personally, I’m set in my ways as far as loving black women go, and wouldn’t have it any other way. But it’s to a point now where their overall conduct and expectations are insulting and not productive as far as having a family. The perception of blacks as a whole looks like something that was made for gossip columns and tv shows.

The irony of this is that he posted a video about Eartha Kitt where he and his followers made fun of her ideals and weren't at all very remorseful of her passing. So I'm not understanding why people are surprised that others are showing him the same courtesy. Why is this even news? People can celebrate what they want. The man literally advised woman to ignore their daughters if there were signs of sexual assault inflicted by the mother's boyfriend/ husband. Kevin spoke about the dilemma of the Black Community . It's nowhere near the potential that it was during segregation. A community is only as strong as the foundation which is the family and the Black Family's standing now is not good.
