That would have been a better way to go with that in my opinion cause I knew this would happen at some point but either way, my concern is that her racing schedule is going to be very limited and short this year. Now before everyone calls me out for ring a hater, hear me out for a quick second please. It doesn’t really matter what they add, NOS or turbos, more than likely, the engine was not built with either of those in mind and if she starts spraying this year, I think we are gonna see the engine fail. I hope they can prove me wrong cause I want to see her succeed! But to my knowledge, nobody knows for sure what’s inside that block and heads and I just come from the school of thought that you know what you’ve got before trying to add new stuff to it. I’m just very surprised that with the downtime over winter they would have cracked it open to see what’s there and see condition cause to me, but I’m a nobody I know, that 340 is not running and putting power out like it should. It should be a screamer without adding anything cause they were a factory high performance small block that had very good results straight from the factory. I’ve had a couple 340s that I had in my 66 Barracuda that I ran and this was before turbos came out and NOS systems were really expensive so we ran all motor and I would have trouble keeping the front end down on a very mildly built 340. Too me, her dart acts like bills Malibu is right now where he feels like he should be making more power but hasn’t found what’s holding her back yet and I’m just afraid if they start pushing it without knowing if rings are correct or other things, we may see some issues cause all that’s known about the engine right now is what the seller told billy and since he was trying to sell the car and we all know he told billy the truth since he was selling and wanted him to know what he was getting right? Lol 😉🤥😬 So, I keep my fingers crossed tha since she’s not Tommy or billy ……………… yet, and she probably won’t push it as hard as the boys, that there won’t be any major damage and it is a Mopar which is a tough ass engine BUT they are not indestructible either, just really hard to destruct! Anyways, just my thoughts, not being negative Nancy here. Would love to see the 340 on twins with a good solid build and I think it would be a deadly combo but if hemi swap is still in future plans down the short road, then it’s probably a silly idea even tho I think that 340 can do as good a job as the hemi……… to a point, but it’s intimidating as hell to the competition to see a hemi in that thing!! So, regardless of what direction it goes, Alison has many capable hands and brilliant minds behind her and she’ll be fine !! I’ll be pulling for her even if they put a crooked 225 in her!! Lol
@@1982MCI I agree with ya the 340 may come apart but as all 3 channels have shown . They ain't scared to pop an engine . I agree she has a great support team behind her. I wish them luck with what ever they do.
@@1982MCI Billy talked to the seller of the Dart in length, & he told him that the 340 was built with the intentions of running nitrous, & the engine & transmission were freshly rebuilt.

Allison’s reaction was priceless. I can see it now, once you put that Hemi in the Dart she is gonna want twins once she gets used to the Hemi. That is unless Jeff drives it first and won’t give it back with the Hemi in it. In all seriousness though. Billy is a damn good Brother to have purchased the car for her and then the Hemi on top of it.

Every bit of seat time she can get will help her. She is on the right path with the Dart first to get the set time and of going quick and having control. I really liked the reaction once the boost kicked in. She didn't panic !!!
